Hi to everyone, My name is Gary 57, living in South Jersey, originally from New York. I walk 3 miles daily and go to the gym 3x to 4x weekly as well as mediate as exercise is an intergal part for me dealing with Anxiety, which i have had since my teens. I have my days where it really effects my daily living and i have my days where i function better. Having really no family and no real and genuine friends i like to surround myself with positive, supportive and understanding people. Those that encourage and inspire you to help make you the best person you can be no matter what your dealing with. I don't deal well with those that are negative, toxic and want to just dwell in the past as none of that is helpful or beneficial. Since joining the site i have read many posts and have found out and learned quite a bit about Anxiety which has proven most helpful. Realizing how much the mind can really control your over all well being. What i thought was a lot physically going on with me was my Anxiety going out of control with over thinking and anticipating with fear and worry. Medically i was fine but the mind working over time can cause and did with me being like an invalid and not being able to function. So i know how much that can destroy you physically and emotionally. Only someone who walks in your shoes can understand and relate to someone who suffers from mental illness whatever your issue/s are Keep well and strong as together we can life one another up from the darkness into the light!
