We haven't let ED stop us from being loving and close...hate those typos!
I totally agree that Ed can open a whole new world of discovery, however the communication has to be there. I read your posts about the book(s) and I intend to order them from Amazon for some "bedtime" reading with him. I like the idea of reading to each other. It's a really safe way to open up the lines of communication. I feel fortunate to have found such a loving, special man. Together we are so much more than the label of "ED".
Thank YOU for all the positive posts!
My husband has tried Viagra and that only helped a couple of times. Now, right in the middle of sex, he loses his erection and hops off of me. Do you know what that does to a woman? I have become bitter too!!! I'm only 45 years old and I have been so lonely for the last 10 years. I've thought of having an affair, but that seems horrible and I don't want to divorce. But what else is there to do?
I wonder if I will ever have that feeling of intimacy with someone I love again. Sad.
I'm seriously wondering if I can hang in there for 3 more years til my kids graduate high school and then I could divorce.
It hurts like nothing else.
Personally, my life has been a roller coaster lately. My BF had a surgery to fix a varicocele a month ago. Of course, he is still recovering and sore, and not taking any Viagra, only Clomid for his infertility issue. He made an extraordinary effort to have sex with me a couple times on Valentine's and on my birthday, which was so touching I almost cried. He used to have erections every night when he was asleep, and sometimes we would have sex, or I would stimulate him orally, but not anymore. And when he does, that's not often, he masturbates and doesn't care that I'm right there, probably because he thinks I'm asleep. That makes me really sad, especially because he used to direct my hand to his erection to initiate foreplay, but now I think he feels too uncomfortable. Does any of you guys have done that? I would be very interested in knowing what are your thoughts/feelings about this.
@Usedtohavefun: that has happened to me, too. My self-esteem, like yours, is terribly affected by this, and I've also thought about having an affair just for the sake of keeping myself sane. I'm a very low key person who dresses very decently, but last week I lost my mind and went out wearing a sexy dress and stilettos, seeking attention, trying desperately to find out if I'm still attractive... that's not me, the trying-to-be-sexy or the cheater, but sometimes it's very hard for me to control my instincts.
On the other hand, I'm glad there are cases like Sean's or peggsu2's, where there's love and understanding. Reading your posts gives me hope. And I'm ordering the book, Sean.
Let's hang in there. Good thing we have each other to give/receive support and information.
