I was married 24 years to me ex. He checked out in 2000, emotionally and mentally abused me until he left in 2007 stating he was \"unhappy\" (meaning he was having an affair with a co-worker he married 4 months after the divorce). I was left heartbroken and devastated. My 4 daughters were at that time ages 15 - 22 and held nothing against him because he had financially given them everything and is a good father. By the grace of God, wonderful family and friends and my great therapist, I came out of the hallway stronger. Fast forward 8 years. I am looking forward to my 4th anniversary with my wonderful husband who I met online back in 2008...a mere one month after my divorce was final. It hasn\'the been a cakewalk what with emotional abuse from my daughters due to their favoritism for their father and his family and my dh\'s sons\' drug use. We\'ve stayed strong through it all and know how lucky we are to have found each other at our age.
