  Hi allIn early July I got bronchitis and was put on prednisone for 5 days. After 3 days of taking it I noticed a lot of blood on wiping and My GP told me to stop the prednisone and never take it again. A few days later runny tummy with mucus started. I was put on the antibiotics Cipro, flagyl, Kantrexil and told to use Smecta (antidiarrheal with diocmectite clay) to help firm up my stools. Nothing helped. fFor a month and a half I suffered with lower back pain, cramping, nausea and runny tummy...

  Hi all I have been having some Gastro issues (developed runs which have lasted since 29 July) which the doc said he really thought was post infectious irritable bowel syndrome. After being on an antibiotic which helped for a week I had a terrible flair up this week and now he wants me to see a Gastroenterologist for a scope and or other tests to determine what the cause is, especially as things are getting worse - cue panic stations. I am freaking out that what I have will be hard to cure or...

  I am going for a colonoscopy soon and I am just wondering what the procedure is like (from prep to completion) as the last time I went it was 20 years ago and I have heard its different now (before prep was 3 days plus an enema before the procedure) Can anyone shed some light?

  I am 35 years old and suffer from GAD and depression. Diagnosed properly at age 25, have been on LEXIMAL and attending CBT off and on since then. My triggers are : Seperation anxiety, changes, social anxiety and anxiety around health, death, dying and vomiting.Looking for others out there with the same triggers so we can support one another and share coping skills!   Hi everyone. IS there anyone on here who has had C diff? Sorry my post is going to contain TMII have a history of IBS mostly Constipated type but I alternate depending on my stress levels (which cause loose stools)I have had to take a lot of antibiotics this year for H pylori, bladder infections and pharyngitis.  Three weeks ago I got bronchitis and had to take cortizone (no antibiotics!) and I ended up having some blood when I wiped and after that devloped loose watery stools with mucus which...

  Hi everyone, my doctor just gave me the diagnosis of Acute Diverticulitis.Excuse this as it may be a bit TMII had a normal stool - no pain, then when I wiped there was a lot of bright red blood. I went to the Doc and as I had taken prednisone for bronchitis he said it could have been a heamorroid or just due to the cortizone. A day Later I had a normal stool again, then suddenly started with bright yellow very mucusy stools. I only go once or twice a day.I have had this before with panic...

  Does anyone elses anxiety go up 100% when they get sick? Right now I have bronchitis so I am so tired and dizzy and have a tight chest. Doc prescribed Atrovent and Pulmicort for nebulizing and nothing else. (Says its viral and doesnt need antibiotic). Chest is not as tight and Im coughing up clear mucus but of course I start thinking : I cant breathe, Im really sick, Im going to get pneumonia and die!!!Anyone else??

  Hi all, does anyone else get night nausea? I dont get the pain as much as I used to, but the nausea is awful. I have to take a motilium (domperidone) every night before I eat supper or I will wake up wanting to throw up.I suffered with night nausea and bad reflux and heartburn since September 2016.
