Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

Any how flash 7 yrs ahead and I have had several more surgeries. I still have so much constipation. Some times I go 4 or 6 days without a bowel movement or very little. It is so embarrassing to talk about. I then will go to the bathroom off and on until it progresses into explosive diarrhea. Once in awhile I am incontinent. So freaking embarrassing what can you do though? My Dr has chalked it up to IBS C but I have tried so many of the IBS fixes and nothing works. Even laxatives don t work well. I cant' take this anymore. No quality of life at all. Cant' plan anything or go anywhere some days.
I have heard about colonic enertia . I am thinking this must be what I have. I have a CT scan of my abdomen in a few weeks and I see my gastro end of next month. I am thinking of asking for a sitz marker test. Then maybe they can find out what the hell is wrong with me.
