Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
A bit of gratitude for what you DO have is in order. 1) Beautiful, healthy kids. Go on... write down some more. Instead of the broken man/broken family/broken record routine...
Also repeating affirmations can be useful...
"I am getting stronger everyday." ...would be a good starting point.
My advice...after today ..set up boundaries. You have to put your foot down. This is completely outrageous and you are being treated as a doormat. This was your ex wife's decision NOT YOURS, and your ex in laws are gonna have to live with it too. YOU dictate what happens at your house. You can only be taken advantage of if you allow it.
You need to get some boundaries up, because until you do, you are going to stay stuck, stuck, stuck.
Did you happen to pick up the book, "Getting Past Your Breakup" like I suggested a couple months ago? You really need this book.
Go spend the evening with your children and celebrate the wonderful gifts you have in them. They need to be your focus, not what your wife's family thinks of her actions.
