  Hi Everyone!  I haven't been on here for awhile.  Glad to see some regulars and some newbies.  I am 17 months gamble free.   So I know this person who has a very severe gambling problem but doesn't admit it.  However she has banned herself from the casinos  in our state.  I saw her at a party and it got brought up that I haven't gambled in a year and she said " I haven't gambled in a day". She looked a little crazy and wild eyed, of course she probably lost every penny she had.  She went to the casino in Detroit, 2 hours away.   Just checking in to say that I did not give into the urge to gamble and it finally went away. Someone said it could be PAWS, post, accute, withdrawl syndrome and I researched that and it makes sense.  Knowing there is a reason and that it will go away gave me a lot of hope for getting through the urges.  I am 14 months gamble free and today I won't gamble. Thanks for the support!

  I just keep having these urges, it's not getting better. I feel like I have to gamble, just one time.  I know that I can't but I feel that I have to, need to. My daughter,  through the result of so many bad choices is very broke and not able to pay her rent.   I got through my gambling urges without gambling.  Good lesson for me to remember in the future.  Thanks for the support.  I am glad I came on to share and didn't suffer silently.  I love the anology of the flat tires qwit, that's perfect.  It took days for me, not hours, but I got through.  Today I will not gamble.

  Tomorrow will be one year of not gambling.  It is not going well right now.  I really want to gamble.
