  I'll make a long story short. My dad has been in and out of hospitals and rehabs for the past month. They are letting him come home today with the agreement that we have a home nurse everyday for 2 hours, also with an agreement that he will always have someone there to watch him. I told them okay (because I want him out and he wants to get out) but it's not the case. My dad IS able to take care of him.   My fiance and I started pre-martial about 3 or 4 weeks ago. We only had 2 sessions and had to do a test to see about compatiblity. We got an 80% which is pretty darn good. The other day at Premarital they went on and on about how would we raise our kids? (I'm jewish, he's christian).   What a year... After taking care of my mom for most of my life (I'm 30 now), and she passed away in March 2018. My dad just got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He never smoked, drank, did drugs, nothing. They say it's only in his lungs but the reason why it's considered stage 4 is because its same cell from his colon cancer over 7 years ago. I don't know if this makes any sense to anyone... it doesn't to me. They said it didnt spread or anything so I'm confused. Either way, I can't believe...

  I'm going to be starting pre-marriage counseling with my fiance at his church. He's Christian and I'm jewish. I don't follow most jewish holidays or anything like that since I was not brought up religious but I really do not want to convert.   I was taking care of my mom since I was 9 years old. I'm now 31 and she passed away on March 21st. It's been a LONG time taking care of her and my dad too. Has anyone been a caretaker for so long that you actually feel a sense of relief when they passed away? I'm definitely sad she's gone and I do cry and have my moments. But I feel almost relieved and I feel HORRIBLE for saying that. I do feel relief because she wanted to die. She was so sad and so sick and she did not have the quality of life...

  My mom died on March 21st. She was sick most of her life but the last 6 months were the worst. She had pneumonia that turned into heart failure. I knew she was dying and we brought her home on hospice care because I wanted to take care of her. I wrote out a whole paper of things I wanted to say.   After all these years of taking care of my mom, she passed away last night at 1:33am. I had written her a long letter of things I wanted to say.   I'm not sure if it's different in every state but I live in NJ. Does social sercuity take your money away or limited your benefits if you go to Hospice?
