You've done so much for so long for others.
Of course you miss and love your mom. But if life is like a book. That chapter in your life is over. Its time for you to create your own life and more chapters.
You can breath your own fresh air and make plans for tomorrow. You missed out on so many things that little girls should not have to miss.
And if your like me, she is in a better place watching her daughter make her own way in life.
Its finally your time to do things you want. Stay longer at friends house or parties without worrying about the time constantly.
You did a great thing taking care of her. You did it out of love not duty. But as the years past, and you miss so many small things that young people take for granted. Those things you did out of love also became a burden.
Be proud of yourself and Never feel guilty for being happy your free.
Your a good person and a fine daughter.
Its time to live the life you were meant to live.
Good luck, and be Happy!
Anyway, I do take care of my dad. Who has massive anger issues and rarely appreciates whatever I have done.
My point is, I gladly take care of my dad. Yet.... my life as an individual has stopped cold. I have no real social life. I enjoy camping, hiking, metal detecting and prospecting. Camping is out of the question. Those other hobbies are very rare due to the fact that most are in hills, canyons and remote areas. My phone won't work in many terrains.
Months ago I went out with a woman just for cocktails. Though for me, I had coffee since I don't drink. I had to lie to my dad that it was a bowling night with friends. Even then, he was angry and jealous I went to have some fun. Obviously.... I don't go out anymore.
I'm the only one of his 4 children that he speaks to in Many years. I will miss him when he passes. But I will be able to relax more and live my own life.
I do understand....
So don't ever feel guilt for wanting to be free and happy.
