My fiance and I started pre-martial about 3 or 4 weeks ago. We only had 2 sessions and had to do a test to see about compatiblity. We got an 80% which is pretty darn good. The other day at Premarital they went on and on about how would we raise our kids? (I'm jewish, he's christian). We never argue that a biracial child should pretend to be just white or black, but yet we argue that something just as integral to identity - religion, should be exactly that way. Having roots in two religions is not different than having two cultures. We need to embrace both, or we are only giving them half a heritage, and that's not fair. REGARDLESS, most likely we won't have kids because we just arent interested. But Oh well... the church called us today and basically said "we need to put this on hold" since I'm not Christian nor planning on becoming one. My fiancé is going to talk to the family counselor there because this is ridiculous because I'm not this one thing, they are ending the counseling. I am just so upset about this.... I would never ask my fiance to change who he is or WHY do I have to?

If you and your fiancee' are okay with this, then who cares what other people think or want? It's you guys' life! Best wishes to you.
I doesn't know, but I does believe the most important part is making ^it^ easy to talk about. Whatever the diffs between Mommy and Daddy, I promise the children will notice and probe to painful depths on ^it^. That is their job. The easier ^it^ is to talk about with BOTH Mommy and Daddy, the more peacefully ^it^ will sit in their hearts. The answers are not as important as being comfortable with the questions.
So believeth The Arf. Proof unavailable. Hence the need for Faith.
But in the absence of children, proper adult evasion will probably suffice.
Marriage comes with allot of strictly personals to sort. Gentle support while you sort.
I think God is really open minded we are given free will...… Jesus wasn't Christian however the faith was of Christianity was born through him
I think that there's a way of having both faiths successfully within a family as long as people are respectful of each other..... As a child grows they will develop their own beliefs
People are given information and eventually make up their own minds
Big hug on whatever you decide.....xo
