i'm proud of all of us. end of the day, and made it through without lying. some days are easy and some days are a veritable bear. today for some reason was a bear...but i managed to get through it without lying, damn! am i glad this day is over. tomorrow is another day and perhaps, just perhaps, it won't be a bear. lol

Good morning All! I lied once yesterday. It happened at a moment when I wasn't thinking, and I just reacted - by reflex. I did admit it and apologize, but it just reinforces the fact that I have to be aware and thoughtful at all times. I've been lie-free today, and will be thinking and speaking truthfully. I'm grateful for your posts. I hope you have a happy and honest day.

Thank you all for your posts and thoughts. True, I lie by reflex also. Been doing it so long it just comes naturally. :( The only way I'll change it is by being aware and making the decision to take responsibility and tell the truth. Have not lied but have withheld speaking up when I should have. Not a lie but similar behavior that I have to watch out for. Anyway thanks for listening and have a great day.

same to you asda, i've kept quiet at times when i think i should have said something. i think that falls into the category of "discretion is the better part of valor". if what i might have said has no direct bearing on the conversation, and i was not asked directly to contribute, then in not speaking, i think it's okay...just me, but i've been wrong before and will be again. lol been honest today so it's all good.

howdy y'all hope all is well with you and yours, things with me are...well they just are, holidays are usually a real bear for me regardless of what ever else is going on in my life. don't know why, but the last three months of the year have always been rough..still being honest, but one of the "catch-22's" even though i'm being honest, it isn't perceived as that because of past performance...sometimes i feel like that scene from the movie "Princess Bride" where the poison has been hidden in a cup of wine, just substitute am i lying for the wine and that's how i feel sometimes...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6TQ7ljcsjk...folks enjoy the rest of your weekend, good luck in staying honest just keep working at it..

MariaJoe, darlin' if that's the extent of your lying, your doing okay. not admitting that something is wrong could be to protect the feeling of the person you're talking to, on the other hand if you're saying it to cover the fact that someone else has done something or said something that impacts you and hurts you, then yeah you need to say something....think about how to say it with the least impact to them, but still let them know that they have "overstepped" and let them know that it isn't acceptable to you for that to happen.....does that make sense? i do empathize with you and understand how you feel...good luck....each day at a time, one step at a time one thought at a time....good luck to all of us.

Good morning all. Asda checking in. Have been doing pretty good not lying, but I must admit there have been fewer opportunities lately. Apprehensive about the next "test". Just have to take it one moment at a time and not let my old fears take over.
You might not be surprised that I have other "issues" in addition to lying. Working on not lying has given me the strength to confront these defects as well. Still a struggle, but ss they said in several previous 12 step programs I have been in, "progress, not perfection".
