Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Hank I was thinking the same thing Where in the heck is TIpper? I sent her a message and I miss her, I hope her arm is not giving her a problem.
Cherry,
You poor thing having to do all of that when in pain, I am feeling for you and I hope you get through without to much pain.
Today is my cleaning day and I hope I can get it all done and make dinner today that is my goal as this leg is giving me problems ever since the stone it has gone numb and I can only lift it so high so walking is hard. It is really scaring me but hopefully the workout will do good and work out all the kinks in it.
Hope everyone has a great day
Feeling halfway alive for a change and at work looking to be productive.
This last week was a much different story so today I will seize it for all it's glory.
The two diseases drag me down so hard and I struggle just to get out of my chair from exhaustion. Then my head hurts so bad, but I refuse to give up and do some lame yoga just to say that I did.
My physical dopiness, I almost drove into speeding traffic and would have killed myself. I realized I don't want to die, even though some days I feel like death. Such conflict inside.
Heartfelt Hugs to you all.
I already posted my news on the main board, but wanted to add an up-date here too. My appointment with the new neurologist went better than I could have imagined.
It started off with me having a seizure at the front desk in the waiting room in front of the receptionist. The front staff quickly called out the doctor and she was great. She handled the situation calmly and efficiently.
Since the doctor had just witnessed my seizure first hand, when she called me back for my appointment she was 100% on-board. She carefully went over each one of my symptoms in detail. She even told me things about my seizures I didn't know. She took two full hours with me, which no other doctor has ever done. And then told me she wants me to come back this Thursday which is normally her day off. She really believes she can help me and improve my quality of life....OMG....that is almost unbelievable to me. I can't tell you what this hope means to me.....it is huge!!!! I had almost given up!
To find someone who will take my insurance, deal with my complex health issues, and is also compassionate is a hard personality to find. And I got lucky!!! Did I tell you she even has a dog named, Matty in her office, how cool is that!
Thanks to everyone who has wished me well, I so appreciate it! I will keep you posted. Take care of your selves and I hope that today will be a comfortable day. Hugs, Cathy

Welcome Serenity94. Stop in any time.
I hope everybody has a low pain day today. Some have to go through so much, just to get going.
I am fortunate that the SCS is working good and I wake up feeling a lot better than I used to.
I think it would be great to keep this thread going. Drop in and share a little bit.
Hugs,
David.
Finally had a break of this heat and we are having beautifully weather. Not sure if I will be able to do some outside stuff to enjoy it.
Doing ok just really worried why I cant lift my leg past a certain way, hubby says I have to go to doctors to let her see why but I am just going to wait till my next appt as I am tired of going to the doctors and I know we will go on that ride of tests and not looking forward to that.
Finally got my craft room cleaned up and even rearranged it, hope I can get in there today to work on some projects.
Have a good day
I am feeling better waking up in the mornings now, not the old pain and stiffness - its very mild now. The strep throat I had turned out to be an abscess on my tonsil, had to get new meds for it but its feeling much better now and I can speak and swallow again.
I have cleaned off my desk and started trying to sit there to do my computer work now for as long as I can so I will know if I can handle going back to the office. Yesterday I only lasted an hour before the pain in my back got to be too much so 8 hrs would be a bit much just yet. But I'll keep working on it, doing my exercises and trying to make it happen. Gonna get my exercise ball back from my daughter and try sitting on that instead. I've got a little over 2 weeks to try to get up to 8 hrs at a desk. I've a feeling I'll need a little more time but my long term disability was approved without a hitch so I'm good to take all the time I need right now.
Hope everyone has a good minimal pain day. Hugs and peace to everyone,
Lisa
Feeling bad. At work and I opened emails to a tormenter coworker at the other end. Ready to blast her but I think I will take painkillers first before I make any action. People who are not busy are trouble to those of us who are.
Sorry to hear you guys are hurting. I hope tonsils is better than strep throat, Lisa. Sounds like it.
I know what you mean about going to the doctor, manny. ME AGAIN!
Hugs to you all.
Lisa...can you start part time and see how it goes? 8 hours is a long time to be at a desk... or anywhere, for that matter! Be gentle with yourself.
I made it through 2 clients and my neck and shoulder are in such a painful spasm, now. This sucks...I have to work!
Hugs to all,
Cherry
Well I'm on the couch. I'm a lead-man/working supervisor at work and I went back 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. I was supervising a job that I finished. I got called in the office today and the human resources and manpower guy told me that because of my light duty restrictions, they don't have a place for me. I still have a company truck, they called the adjuster at w/c and he said I could work when they had work for me and when they don't w/c will pay the difference.
I haven't heard from my attorney yet, but we'll see what happens. Rocco was glad to see me.
I'll keep ya'll posted.
I hope everyone is having a decent day.
Hugs,
David.
