Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I am doing OK today. Gotta run a couple of errands, then I'll be back.
Rocco weighs 4 pounds now!!!!
I wish you all a low pain day, and I look forward to seeing more people posting. We help each other.
Hugs,
David.
I'm starting PT today, though it's never helped in the past. I have such tight muscles and tendons that I'm hoping they can help me with the proper stretches...or whater...to loosen things up. Lord knows I need something to change if I'm going to keep working.
I wish everyone a day with little pain and big joy!
Hugs,
Cherry
Cherry, Good luck with your physical therapy and I hope it works for you this time. At least I am hoping your PT terapist is a handsome hunk which would make it worth while! : )
Sunnybunny, I am so sorry that your days have been so rough. Know that you are in my thoughts ok!
David, While you are out running those errands take time to enjoy yourself! I love that you have little Rocco, I have little 10 pound Moby who keeps me company. He is a character!
Serenity, It is good to see you my friend and I hope you are doing ok!
Inchronic, I send you peace
The last few days I have been dealing with nerve pain. My entire body feels like it is on fire at times. It feels like I am coming apart at the seams. It's just an MS thing and will pass, but Holy Hanna it is not fun!!
Hope all of you get the rest you need, the pain relief you deserve, and some fun out of your day! Love, Cathy
Woke up with a pounder, but my hubby started a new job! This one is looks good. It's been a rough few years.
Deep hugs to you (((inchronic))). Life bites hard sometimes. Deal with it head on and get support. You, darling, are not the problem. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, but there is always good things on the horizon. THis is just a bump in the road. It hurts bad, I know sweetie.
Hugs to you all. Hope today treats you better than yesterday.
For those who are suffering today I wish you peace, comfort and a minimal pain day. My heart goes out to you. (sorry my brain won't let me remember all the names and I wouldn't want to leave anyone out)
Hugs, Lisa
Work S8cks! But went home early today.
Watching Netflix. Lot's of old stuff that I don't care if I sleep thru. Nice way to spend a weary afternoon/
Only thing is I HATE NAPS! always have. When I was 5 and nearly died from pneumoia (before anti biotics - now I am DATING myself - but not in the Oedipus kind of dating myself :-) ), as soon as they closed my bedroom door I would jump on my bed and get up and play.
Funny how things go full circle. :-)
I'm here with Rocco, chewing on the keyboard, (him, not me). I've taken him out twice. He has done his business both times. Second time was a double whammy, if you know what I mean. Getting Rocco has opened new doors for me. I'm out walking more, meeting new people in the neighborhood. He's been a handful, but I figured that.
I'm doing OK. I'm trying to get all my muscle relaxers in before I need the heavier stuff. SCS still good, no car doors, Just doing as good as I can.
Please remember that this thread is to share what's going on, good or not so good.
I hope to see more posting.
Hugs,
David.
94 days to the Neuro.
Today is better for me. Hope it is for you all.
I actually had a good day today. I really cleaned my house and now it is shinny. It is a good feeling. I even hung out bedding, because we had an unusually sunny day and now they smell nice. It feels good to get everything tiddyed up. Since I tend to have stretches where I cannot do much the house gets messy. I know you all understand. Now I am just enjoying it! Hope you all are having a good evening. You are in my thoughts! Hugs, Cathy
We've been out twice this morning and Rocco is doing a good job. I might have to get a professional trainer for some basic command stuff. I use the word "outside". He knows what I mean, but doesn't go to the door. Also, when I whistle for him he'll come to me if he wants to. I am enjoying him and I am fortunate to have time to spend with him.
Yesterday was the first day that I was able to handle the pain with a relatively low number since the surgery and med change.....big breakthrough for me.
I see some had decent days yesterday....that's great.
An...., I think it's fun to yell at the TV sometimes myself.
I hope to hear from some more folks today, being the weekend and all.
Check-in if you want to!!
Hugs,
David.
