Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I have heard it all too. These people just have no idea. I would love to have them carry the pain that I have for just a day or two and then come tell me how GREAT Aleve works. NOT!!
My thoughts are with Cherry as she waits out Hurricane Irene. I hope it passes Vermont without doing to much damage. Know that our thoughts are with you!
Hugs, back to Ebony!
Vicky, I am so glad your test went well and that you are doing ok. I hope that you don't over task yourself with all the kids in your care.
My news is good! My neurologist has increased my Topomax for my seizures. This medication is also given for head pain, which I suffer from daily. After being on the increased dosage for a week I have began to notice a reduction in the amount if head pain I am having. This is a real miracle for me!!!! The pain has been reduced to the point where it is very manageable. I have had this head pain for so many years that I had just accepted it was my lot in life. I had given up treating it, because I hated feeing narced all the time. Now I am overjoyed that this is actually working for me.
I hope this finds you all doing something you enjoy! Hugs to all, Cathy
Church was AWESOME today. I just love being involved with the real people out there.
Granted they really don't understand me like my blessed friends here, and I love you all. My wife and I are good, we just had a mini meltdown, but we're over it.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
David.
Hi!
I fell asleep during the sermon. Right there in front with the choir.
Oh well!
It is a tiring day for me. Have no energy to do anything at all.
You are definitely not the first one to do that. God knows your heart, eyes open or closed. ; )
Hugs,
David.
Went to dollar general, left w/o 1 bag. Thought I was losing it when I got home, decided to go back. Manager had to look at camera n sure enough, lady behind me p/u my bag. They were good about it n replaced everything I left. Prior to that, I went to get gas. Couldn't get back into car as I locked myself out. Manager got a broom sort of stick and was able to open the lock inside car as I "fortunatly" left the window open just enough. Can't ya all just see Gods goodness thru this??? Isn't it amazing? The manager of the gas station said, "We all need to love one another. and asked me to pray for his business." Can you believe it??? God isn't slow in moving in our lives when we ask him to. Anyways, thought you all might enjoy hearing about the kindness of strangers (sorta speak) in my daily life. Been actually very tired today but cleaned/pushed myself anyways as if I don't I'll only feel worse at days end. Been leaning hard on the Lord for strength and he never fails me like I do him. Just something "maybe" a little inspirational to lift up the spirit.
Blessings to all, love, Vicky xxxxxxxxxx
@Vicky. Thanks for the inspiration. We all fall short. Love is so powerful though.....great story.
I am doing OK today. I'm going to get out this morning. Go walking with my wife at our church. They have a walking program daily. I had a good day yesterday, and I'm looking forward to today.....so far.
Rocco is here helping me, (chewing on my keyboard). He doing good too.
How about some new posters today, along with the faithful.
Hugs,
David.
Here we are the kick off to a new week and hope it is a good one for everyone. I am crossing my fingers myself that it is a productive one for me.
I had a good day yesterday did alot of things around the house made a nice steak dinner with a homemade chocolate cake for dessert and watched some of my favorite shows the Glades and True Blood.
Love the words of inspiration.
We went to a different church this sunday, it has been so long since I have felt "holy spirit" I cried and cried, we were so busy with our last church it became work and everyone was fighting. about which service got what, I now know its time to move on. We had been wrestling with this decsion for over a year now.
I have my seconed medial branch block this Friday, this will determine if RFA is for me. I am very hopeful.
I hope everyone has a less pain day :)
84 days to go.
Had a weekend of pain hell. At midnight I was distraught with my third icepack and more pain pills and thought I'd have to call in sick but I awoke pain free.
Hallelujah!!!!! I get one day and I will take it joyfully.
Hope you all get your breaks too.
Love to you all.
I just read a news report about Huricane Irene. It seems that Vermont was hit hard and got terrible flooding. I know that is where Cherry lives and she usually posts by now, so I assume she is without power. Let's all keep her in our thoughts and prayers. HavIng CP and going through a major disaster can not be fun! Hang in there Cherry, and know that we are all here thinking about you!
Love & Hugs, Cathy
