Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
More hugs (going to light that candle now)
Take care all... Gaye... xxx
It sounded really nice. You are right. NO ONE calls me honey or mommy anymore.
Thanks for the words of support.
I have tried every medication know to medicine. None really help. I am used to being very active. The person who fixes projects that are in the red. Vice pres would come in my office and beg me to come and get their project back on track.
Now I am reduced to begging doctors to believe what I say. Oh how the giants have fallen. LOL!
it is so hard to not be busy with work. No one wants a project manager who can't sit thru a 4 hour meeting without needing to stand then sit then lay down flat with a pillow under the knees.
Most people don't realize what a drudge it is to spend all your time at home wishing I could be in work.
I talked with hubby.
Everyone asks if I sell the jewelry that I wear. (I started to learn because I never (other than wedding rings) the same piece twice in the same year. The gifts that I give are always the prized possessions and everyone is jealous.
(Guess I have good taste. LOL)
Think I will find out how to learn to make it so I can sell it. THen I can work on my schedule and make what I like - maybe sell some of the stuff at the bottom of the drawer.
It gives me hope.
I slept in until 5:00 this morning. Yes...that's really late for me! I guess I was making up for being up most of the previous night. The tradeoff is...I can barely move from the pain of being in one position for such a long stretch.
It's going to be a few hours before I function and we have rain moving in....we all know what that does to folks with CP. Ouchie!
Blessings and hugs,
Cherry
I can't wait till it actually rains. Then I usually feel better. Pain meds not working right now.
Bunny, I can relate some. I'm at home because of my surgery restrictions, my work can't find a place for a supervisor. I still will go to work when needed. Fortunately I have a company truck that they didn't take, so I'm hoping once the restrictions are off I'll be good to go. This CP and the fatigue really hinders all of us.
I feel OK this morning. It takes about an hour now before the muscle pain sets in.
I am privileged to be a part of this group and I'm glad we are keeping this going. It's nice to know I can come here and relate to what's going on.
Hugs to all,
David.
((((((((((group hug))))))))))))
woke up with no pain for a change after 4 days of steady pounding. Sending you and sharing all good vibes.
Had a pretty good weekend it was nice and quite everyone was gone doing things so it flew by for me.
Monday morning and have tons of things I could be doing right now but need to find the enthusiasm to get them done.
I so miss work sometimes and wish I could do something out of the house to make some money for spending and something to make purpose out of my day. It gets so boring of cleaning the same old house and doing the same thing over and over need something with purpose in my life.
I am thinking of taking some college enrichment classes like photography or something like that
Hope everyone has a good day
Corri, I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that you lost your beloved dog. I have had several special dog companions die over the years and their loss was significant in my life. So I wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts.
Hugs to everyone! Cathy
I will take it if that is the onlly way to learn about starting a business.
I feel so stupid. I ran multi-billion dollar projects, got them back on track and KNOW NOTHING about what needs doing to start a business. Can you say OVER EDUCATED??? LOL!
Thanks for being here everyone when I was down and really needed someone. You all have no idea what it meant to me to find people who understand.
Hope everyone is having a nice day. Hugs and peace to all,
Lisa
What will it be like?
Heaven!
BLESSINGS AND LOW PAIN DAY
