Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I've been up since 2:30 this morning, had to drive 25 minutes to a doc appt. for 8:00...then another 15 minute drive to see my shrink this afternoon. He's pushing meditation...again.
I've explained to him many times that the only time I can be that still is when I've taken my Trazodone and gone to bed!!!
It's almost 6:30 now. I'm hurting and too tired to think about eating, but I know it's too early to go to bed.
I'm thinking of all of you, dear friends, but I'm just not good for much tonight. I will be working a rather long day tomorrow...hopefully.
Hugs,
Cherry
I am a little nervous as I prepare for bed tonight because tomorrow I have an appointment with a new neurologist. She is local and I have been told by a couple of people that she is really good. So now I have my hopes up.
Her staff sent out a packet of paper work for me to fill out ahead of time, which I have done. And I took the time to carefully write out all my symptoms and described everything to the best of my ability. My goals for this meeting are better pain control for my head pain, address my seizure control, and my nerve pain. Wish me luck! I do not have a good success record when it comes to neurologist, but I have a good feeling about this one.
Wishing everyone a restful night! Hugs, Cathy
Pain level is somewhat high but going to my 4 month ck up with my pm dr wish me well

BLESSINGS AND A LOW PAIN DAY
Good luck with your doctors appointments.
@Everyone. It's difficult to follow every post. As I read each one I can see that we have a common concern for each other. It's OK if we don't remember to include everyone's name. I want you all to know that I care about all of you.
This thread is for us. Let's keep sharing a little bit about ourselves.
I feel decent today. Trying not to overdo it at work right now is the key for me. I hope that everyone has a great day, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Hugs,
David.
@ Denise, wishing you the best of luck at your appointment today. I hope all goes well for you. Hugs
I hope everyone as lower pain levels today. Hugs
woke up but still tired and would not mind going back to sleep for a bit till the baby wakes up, I watch my four year old niece in the morning while her mom works.
Feeling good finally, and no kidney stones but the only problem as of late is my left leg is numb and it really hurts more then usual. I guess if it is not one thing it is another.
Hope everyone has a good day
I am grateful.
I worked way more than I can begin to do comfortably. Every inch of me is in pain, now. Why do I do that to myself? I have no choice and can't imagine giving up my house and finding a recliner to spend my days in.
It sounds pretty good right now, though. I'm praying I recover just a little bit so I can work a lighter day tomorrow.
My life pretty much stinks. It's tough t refocus and try to count blessings when my pain level is so distracting.
Sorry for the whining,
Cherry
Cherry, I'm sorry you're having a tough time. I hope you feel better soon.
Manny and Vicky, It sounds like you've improved, that's great!!
Ralop, Your post was very moving. Thank you!!!!
To all of my other friends, including Kat, let's keep this going.
I feel decent today. I have to go and get ready for work. Rocco weighs over 3 pounds now.
Have a great day!!
Hugs,
David.
I've been up for over an hour (5:30, now) and doing everything I can think of to get this awful pain under control. My first client will arrive at 9:00 for a color/cut/wax so I still have time to coax/plead with my body to cooperate.
I awoke to the sound of rain on my metal roof. It's a lovely sound, but that's all I can say for it! Well...I suppose I can say we need the rain because the lawns are looking a little brown and crispy.
David...3 pounds? Is it time for weight control dog food for Rocco? LOL.
I hope you all have moments of joy and love in your day.
Hugs,
Cherry
My heart goes out to you cherry as you battle with your pain. I battle with my pain everyday and my biggest fear right now is the cost medical insurance. My policy is very expensive and since I can't go anywhere else, they can just put the premium anywhere they want.
Take care everyone and have a low pain day
Lots of hugs
Hank
