Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Oh well, hope others are doing OK despite being in pain.
I took a break yesterday, but was very busy at church.
I am doing OK this morning. The SCS is still masking a good part of my pain, but optimism has to be replaced with medication to help with the rest of it.
@ An.....,(Enigma609) Optimism is a very important part of pain management, but for me there is a line. It sounds like your trip to the mountains was good for you.
I wish all of you a low pain day. I am going to get ready for work. I'll be checking my phone during the day for posts on this thread. It helps me through the day.
Hugs,
David.
Finally had a good day yesterday with no kidney pain the only thing that lingers is my left leg is numb and I can only lift it so high and after all of what went on I will take that and run.
I actually cleaned yesterday and I am sort of excited to be cleaning today, LOL you know when things were bad when you enjoy cleaning.
Hope everyone is doing good and I hope everyone a low pain day
Wishing you all a decent day. Sammy
My mother was special too, they passed away 2 yrs a part. I have my days I feel so lonely for them both & know I was blessed to have such women in my life. I enjoyed reading about your MIL.
Sammy
PS I still have a plant from each one & its been oh about 10 yrs or so.
I am still fighting the strep throat. I haven't been able to eat a thing since breakfast on Friday and its torture to even drink liquids though I managed to force down 2 cups of tea yesterday throughout the day. The fever has passed so I know I'm on the mend but it still hurts an awful lot to swallow and I couldn't sleep last night. I had to prop myself up with 3 pillows because if I layed down my throat would close up and I couldn't breath. I slept part of the night sitting up on the couch; the rest of the night was just short spurts of sleep between smothering spells when I'd move off the pillows.
Hope everyone is having a minimal pain day. Hugs and peace to all,
Lisa
I need to bitch out my PM doctor, his epidural didn't work...............
The last few days I have been dealing with MS stuff, nerve pain, double vision, and spasms. My body feels like it is electrically charged. I could be the answer to the power crisis and we not even realize it! Do you think someone could get a grant to launch a research project? Makes as much sense as most of the nonsense researched these days. LOL :)
Denise, thank you so much for sharing that beautiful tribute to your MIL. It touched me deeply! To share that kind of bond is a rare gift and you were blessed. What a wonderful celebration of life the two of you shared. I am so sorry she is gone, but her love and wisdom lives on in you. I know that that does not for a second make missing her any easier. And I am truely sorry for you loss. know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Manny, You are a marvel. You go from kidney stones to house cleaning in a single bound. You are SuperWoman!
Lisa, Hope you are over your strep soon, I know it can be miserable. Hang in there! Hugs!
Kylie, What happened with that Epidemal?
Today I encourage everyone to find something really beautiful in their world and pay attention to it, really look at it, don't just pass it by. It could be a flower, a painting, a bird, a sunset....anything that you find beautiful! But be still and observe. Then come back and share it with us! We have been talking alot about finding joy and I think this is one way to begin. Have fun! Be a kid today!
Hugs to all,
Cathy
Denise,
Cathy, you were so kind with your responses.
11, Sammy, Lisa, Manny, Enigma, KylieAnn............it's because of people like ya'll and all of the other members here who share, that really make it worth while to be a part of this group. I want to thank you all, and those I missed, and ask you to please keep posting.
This thread is a Blessing to me. It keeps me going.
My neck is a little more sore today, but I could be adjusting to new meds, I don't know.
I do know that you all are great and please keep coming back.
Hugs,
David.
