Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

To all that are suffering I offer my empathy. I am into my 7th day of dampness, (weather-wise). I had to clear that up!!
Rocco goes to school today. He's doing real good. He's the smartest dog in the class.........( private lessons). Well my wife and I are there, but he is still probably the smartest!!
I go to my PM doc tomorrow, which should be interesting. He's been trying to cut back on my meds, which is fine, but I think I'm as low as I can go.
Rocco is on my lap so I can't talk about him anymore. Good thing i type with one finger because he is chewing and licking my thumb.
I hope you all have a great day. I'll try and check in later.
Big Hugs,
David.
55 days to go
Fell asleep on those same damn tracks. Huge week ahead of me. Desk is covered in paper and I better get to it. Pills on my desk next to the coffee.
My best friend returns tomorrow from a 4 week vacation in Holland. I missed her horribly and I tear up everytime I think of her. People are so important to us.
A candle for Millie and inchronics' sister.
and a big sloppy kiss to Rocco.
Love to you all.
E. I can see you at the airport with big sign "welcome home". I hope your pain got better today.
Positive thoughts and prayers for Millie.
Wishing everyone less pain.
How is the group tonight? I have been thinking about everyone and hoping life is going smoothly. It is good to hear about Rocco....not so good to hear about train tracks, let's all keep off those tracks for good measure.
I have been resting in between IV steroid treatments. And besides enjoying bring wildly nauseated I am bored out of gourd. I have watched a few fun movies. But I can't eat anything right now except fruit smoothies with tofu so that gets old. I am just bored! Maybe tomorrow I will actually feel up to doing something. A few days ago I finished a polymer play tea cake for my grand daughter for Christmas and it turned out really nice. It is really pretty and fancy. Just right for an afternoon tea party. You can tell I want to be doing something, yep, I am bored. Well, it is time for bed hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. Hugs to all, Cathy
I had a horrible day of pain, yesterday. Every inch of my body throbbed and nothing touched it. I'm still hurting this morning, but it's a tiny bit better than it was.
I go back to PT today then straight back here for a client. Unfortunately, whatever good the PT might do, will be undone (is that a word?) as soon as I start working.
Oh well...such is my life...
I hope everyone had a good night of sleep and I wish for you, a day of little pain and big blessings!
Hugs,
Cherry
My back is still hurting but less today than yesterday.Once I finally get it thru my head to stop lifting I think I'll improve. Its difficult to adjust to this new way of thinking/living as so many of you already know. Seems to be a battle between the mind n body, my mind feels better when I ackhomplish tasks but my body screams in pain. What I would give to have a beautiful pool to excercise in.
So heres a shout out to all you warriors who understand just what I'm talking about.
May you/I find unexpected surprises/joys in our day.
love,hugs n prayers, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Had to do some walking at the mall yesterday boy I dislike malls all the walking and it never fails which mall I am in but the stores I want to go to are all on opposite sides of the place and for some reason it triggers my leg to hurt but if I take walks outside not so much who knows maybe it is all in my head.
Hope everyone has a low pain day
Manny I have the same problem with malls and grocery stores.... the floors just kill me too so its not in your head. I avoid the mall if at all possible and shop at the smaller grocery stores when I can.
I got a call from my insurance last night. They are really pushing me to try to go back to work. Of course that's their job but I'm so sick of it. She keeps insisting my job is 'just' sitting and not strenuous so I should be able to work. I've told her the last 3 times she called that sitting is my biggest problem and I just can't sit and stand for 8 hrs either. I'll write more in a journal post, not gonna start venting here or I'll be unstoppable lol. She really ticked me off.
I woke up in pain this morning, more than usual but I'm doing ok. Hope everyone enjoys their day, take care all.
Hugs and peace, Lisa
it's been raining most of yesterday and today... and the same predicted tomorrow. I know we need rain at the beginning of spring, so all the plants will grow lush and bloom prolifically, but I want it to be all bright and sunshiney like it was last week... so that I can walk down to the Botanical Gardens and enjoy all the flowers... doing that always makes my spirit sing.
I bought a new camera a few weeks ago, and already have taken some flower photos that I'm really pleased with. I tried to post them, to share the beauty with my friends, but the images are too big for DS. Poo Bum... I hadn't even thought about that aspect in choosing which camera to buy. Anyone know if it's possible to make photo images smaller i.e. less mb?
Sending hugs and positive energy to anyone who is in need of them. Take care... Gaye... xxx
54 more days. Endocronologist called me in to come in earlier after I told her I wound up in the hospital last week from the worst pain in my life. She handles the Graves thyroid aspect but I have been running wild this last month since she dropped the dose.
Another busy day at work. Yesterday was crazy but I held my own with a migraine and percocet. Today is better and I have a sign. Absolutley no interuptions for 2 hours.
I'll get through this.
Love to you all.
David you need some sunshine. I am sure Rocco agrees. Wishing for no more reduction on your meds.
Cherry stay away from the train if possible. I know you know stretches. Hope your load is light today.
CW i am sorry you can't eat anything. Hope that changes soon.
E. glad you made it through the day. I can't imagine working with a migraine. I can't even speak let alone concentrate. It would be nice if they moved your procedure up.
Gaye hope you will be able to reduce pictures Lisa's help.
Manny I agree walking on concrete not good. It bothers me as well no matter what shoes I wear. Have not been in a mall in over three years.
Lisa it is good you understand the long term disability. What upsets me about that is this has been paid for through premiums. Insurance companies seem to want to have profits as large as the oil companies.
Millie is out there either having surgery today or still waiting on approval so I am sending out positive thoughts on that.
