Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
My prayers n thoughts are with you. I'd start calling some agencies in your area for a back up, just explain the situation to them.
Please let us know how this progress's.
Hugs, XXXXXXXXXXX
Cathy, please keep us posted on the eye condition and I also hope you find a nice place to live.
David, I don't know if I can make it to my third anniversary. All of you are so brave.
Tendonshurt, I can't imagine babysitting with this illness, but you sure are lucky to have had children and grandchildren. My brothers and sisters are all crazy about theirs. I wasn't able to have children.
Once again thanks for all the warm welcomes I received the other day
I am doing well now that they have my pain controlled better.
And with spring weather we are having right now the world couldn't be better right now.
Those who do so please pray for a couple of my friends who are going through some tough times right now.
Sorry I can't be more specific but I can't break confidences. God knows who they are and what they are going through.
Thank you all
Unfortunatly I meet many of the "critera" for it myself n don't expect to receive a great deal of support from many people, incl. fam' members. Again this is why this group is soooo important/special to me. Where else can we go n receive this kind of "understanding/support", etc.???
Welcome to all who are new here n may you find the same compassion n support that I have as well as so many others.
love,hugs n prayers, Vicky XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I hope your friend Kim is going to be all right and I will be thinking and praying for her and you to help her get through this hard time.
Same old things going on here it seems like I have to get out of this rut and back to my old self just cant seem to shake these headaches and fatigue has set in so bad that it makes my pain worse from sitting around to much.
It was a exciting night for us with sports as the Tigers won the game last night and they are on their way to Texas to play game six and the Red wings played downtown also so I can just imagine how busy it was down there. I stayed away but it is good for our economy as MI is still really weak.
@Hathani, Assuredly, your friends will be in my thoughts and prayers. Take care! Hugs!
@Tendonshurt, Sadly, I am familar with autoimmune disorders and know how rough it can be. I too, have had friends go downhill quickly. Know that your friend Kim will be in my thoughts and prayers, as will you. Hang in there and keep us informed ok! Hugs!
@Manny. Grrrrr to your headpain, wish it would give you a break! I had no idea that you were such a sports fan. GO TIGERS! Now tell me what we are cheering for?! LOL. I know nothing, or next to nothing about sports. Is it baseball? That's my best guess without looking it up, which I will. Hugs!
As for me.....more of the same too. My vision continues to be a little funky. Making typing interesting. Otherwise, next week I have two doctor appointments. I've been feeling a little low of late. But I keep chugging along. I hope this finds you all having low-pain days and doing something you enjoy. Hugs, Cathy
Hathani, So glad that you are here. You have been missed. I will pray for your friends.
Marci, same for you. That's sounds tough.
Hey Vicky, Manny, Cathy, Keeska, and all of our other faithful friends.
Got good news today. Going back to work Monday morning, should be full time, with lifting and overhead work restrictions. i don't know who's happier, me or my wife...(Lol)
I hope you all have a great night. For those going away for the weekend, be safe.
Thanks to you all for being here.
Any other new folks?????? Come on in!!!!
Big Hugs,
David.
This is a major problem for me. I have fibro and especially when I would go to church, I would try to try to explain to others that I can't have my hands shaken because it hurts a lot. Also Hugs are not always something that I can handle. Basically trying to get this point across never worked. The first person would not understand and pout and before I was alble to say anything there were people everywhere shaking my hand hello. There were many men and women that shook my hand so hard I was seeing stars and when I went home I had a bad flair from a Handshake! I just can't be touched at all sometimes and I can't take people shaking my hand.I have felt that I only way I could stop it was to by bandages for both my hands that I could slip into before I went anywhere. Also I felt about buying a big sign and wearing it around my neck. There where the hugs too. For me men don't like to hug so they will stand back and pat your sholder in a strange way. I have found only one lady who could give me hugs and not hurt me. She was sweet she would asked before she hugged.I wish everyone could be like that. It is hard to pound it in their head that looking at me and seeing she looks fine just go right ahead grap my hand and shake as hard as you can. I for some reason is why I don't go to group gatherings.
