Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Just stopping by. Another busy day at work. I'm on a hard hat construction jobsite. It's kind of demanding, but I'm good with it........so far. I feel good being back and I'm hoping it works out.
I hope ya'll are doing OK. I'm on a job that has no internet access, but I do have my phone and check the posts........so keep them coming if you can.
All those in need, hang in there. We can start our day over as many times as we need to.
Big Hugs,
David.
33 days. I'm feeling annoyed by the littliest things. Being stuck in survival mode for too long is taking it's toll, I guess. I'm tired of being unwell and seeing to the appointment coming up is making me anxious. Itfs like wanting to win the race but don't know if I have enough in me to get to the finish line without tripping. T
hen I'm worried that he won't do anything useful or different than what I've tried. That it will all be a big letdown. That he can't or won't help me. That my last hope will be lost.
Hope your days are going better than the norm.
Angela
I've been doing better these last couple of days. Trying to be very careful so that I don't ruin it like I usually do by overdoing. So I'm keeping a slow pace.
I wish you all pain relief and a nice day tomorrow.
Hugs, Ama
Woke up feeling like a truck hit me and a busy day full of responsibility ahead. I also woke up to two messages from people I haven't heard from on this forum for a while, plus 3 unsolicited hugs. The kindness of the people on this site know no bounds. One migrainer even gave me a tip on some pain med I never heard of but I can ask at my upcoming appointment.
Aside from what was given to me, it was nice to see the names pop up because I get concerned when I don't see posting action for a while, and it's nice when people check in to say hello and let you know things are okay with them.
You guys are not just names and cute avatars to me. You are a busy community of real people with voices and lives and hearts. I've grown real fond of you all.

I have been isolating a bit of late due to some depression brought on by a new MS symptom. Sometimes it takes me awhile to adjust to new symptoms. My vision is being effected now, this has happened before and has always gone away with time.
Usually people with MS have optic neuritis, I never have. Instead I get extreme double vision. It distorts my vision to the point it is hard to see. I always have a bit of double vision and wear prisms in my glasses to correct it, but when it gets this bad my glasses do nothing for me.
I see my neurologist today so I am hopeful that I will get some help. This has been a trying time. My sense of humor is failing me, but I know she is still in there. Hugs, Cathy
Good to see you posting Cathy. Hope things continue to improve for you.
love n hugs, Vicky xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you that is a good suggestion, in fact while I am out today I think I will get an eye patch. Just call me Captain Cathy, Argggg Mateys!!! Hugs to you all, Cathy. Argggg. : )
Oh...post a pic!
As I said, I went back to work full time this week, in a different capacity. I'm on an actual construction site, with a lot of walking. I love being back, but I feel like I've gone a round with Mike Tyson, but I still have both ears.
I have missed being here as much, but this position is very demanding, and I had a busy evening to do list this week.
I feel so good being able to go back to work.............for now. I will see how I feel when it gets colder.
Thanks to all of you for being here. I still check my e-mail by phone at work and I get an uplift when I read the posts I watch.
I hope you all have a great night.
Big Hugs,
David.
Thanks n hope everyone has a wonderful week-end.
hugs n loads of love, Vicky xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Took Rocco out this morning and he even said it was cold. Just 42 degrees, but that's cold for me. It looks like I'll be working outside and in an unheated building this winter. We'll see how that will fly. Work has taken a lot out of me this week and I will spend the day resting.
Thanks for all of you being here for me, and each other.
Big Hugs,
David.
