Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Just a quick note because Moby needs to go outside. I saw my first apartment yesterday. I definitely started at the bottom and now can work my way up, it was tiny and in a bad location. That's ok! I know if I am persistent I will find my home.
As always my thoughts are with all of you as you go about your day. I wish you a joyous Fall day, Hugs, Cathy
Good luck with your appointment tomorrow, Hippytoo!
Ama
By the time I've read all the posts, my brain has turned to mush so I don't do well adressing people individually. I'm sorry about that.
So...please accept my hugs and love...everyone.
Cherry (Ms. Mush)
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood............
The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the morning dew is evaporating...........and I feel like crap!! ( just kidding )
I am doing OK so far. I've been up almost 3 hours and the pain is just creeping in. The SCS really does work wonders. I'd probably be on my second pain pill by now.
I got a call yesterday from a company wanting to schedule an FCE for workers' comp.........What!!! The surgeon put me on a lifting restriction. Anyway, I didn't make the appt. We'll see what happens.
I'm waiting for work to call. No date yet.
I hope ya'll have a great day.
Let's keep this thing going.
Big Hugs,
David.
Been sort of under the weather lately between my leg killing me and a migraine not giving me a break hoping that today it is better. I guess no way but up when you are down:)
Hope everyone is going to have a great weekend and if you live somewhere with fall season get out and see that color change as it is beautiful in MI I really need to get to the cider mill and pick some apples
I'm finding some inspiration from nature today. There is a special bird that comes to one of the feeders on my deck. She is a house finch. Why is she special? She has no tail feathers! Yet she still flys and stays with her flock. Amazes me that she can keep up with the others. I want to take her picture and post it here on the site. None of the other birds pick on her. They don't even seem to notice her disability. Ah, nature.....
Hugs to all.
:-)
This morning I decided I really wanted to respond to everyone. Before you get excited about my fantastic memory, I actually took notes. : )
@Stranded, I so empathize with you on the moving. I know how stressful it can be to do it all by yourself. But you are doing great! By just doing a bit at a time and taking short breaks to give yourself a rest. Keep us informed with how things are going for you...,we are cheering you on! Hugs
@AmaSun, Your back pain sound like a a personality of it's own and that is not a good thing. Have you given this evil character a name yet? I am so sorry to hear you are in such pain and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs
@David, Again, let me say how proud I am that you were promoted to Control Technician. They see what we see in you, a fine young man who is of great character. Congratulations David! Hugs
@Enigma, All you said was EW, but I assume that you are having a migraine and I am so sorry. Wish I could make it all better for you and make it go away. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs
@Hippy, I really hope that those injections in your neck work well for you this time. Please keep let us know how it goes ok. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as well. Hugs
@Cherry, With all you do in a day, it is a wonder you have any time at all to share with us, so don't worry about what you can and can't do. We just love hearing from you. Hugs
@Manny, Nasty old legs and migraines still giving you problems drat it all, you are not catching a break. I am so sorry to hear this, and you will be in my thoughts and prayers too. Hugs
@Smile4Awhile, I loved the story about the Finch. Anything about nature is so life affirming. Thank you so much for sharing that with us! Hugs
@JS, I want to personally thank you for participating in the suicide walk. It is not something I would be able to participate with, but would like too. Suicide is a real danger for people in CP and as we all know. So thank you for representing us, I am proud of you! Hugs
As for me....I am just working at finding an apartment. It is slow, and a little discouraging. My new nervepain drug is really helping for which I am so greatful! I have a doctors appointment today with my neurologist and this is my first since my exacerbation so I will be able to give her a hug for the Steroid IV Treatment. Well, I hope this all find you doing something you love. Hugs to all, Cathy
Sitting back and reading all your postings and and thinking how special each of you are. Just like the beautiful special bird that smile4awhile describe. Each one of you are unique to me.
Thanks for sharing my days with me.
Darling I'm praying that you find a special sanctuary full of light and peace and safety.
Angela
The people and answers are here!!
