You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...

I cut a load of my super kinkies off a while back (maybe 3 months ago) they were driving me nuts and I just wanted rid! I was playing with them all the time as well. Now there are def not as many - it did help me and it means the worst spot was removed from temptation. I haven't done it again so it hasn't been a habit and I don't get tempted to cut either..
How is life going? Have not been around much due to business of life so taking an hour out to catch up with my trichy buds x
Yepper lien, 4 weeks pf today. Only 2 and a half days til I reach my one month goal. I think my next goal will be 5 weeks, 6 weeks, 7 weeks etc - but really I'm aiming for two months.
