You don't see them much in the UK but they are around - once in a bar in London one crawled across the bar - the barman wiped it off and smiled "the authentic latin american experience" (it was a salsa bar) I deffo didn't order food, I think with the climate in the UK you only get them when hygiene is bad :( but in mexico they were everywhere!!!!!

My grey is not too bad that you would comment (plus am older so its a bit more normal) but I notice them shining in the sun let me know how you get on with the henna :)

Roaches come in through everywhere, in places where you least expect to see them. I visited the Florida keys, and what we did was put borax down in the corners, and places we didn't want them to join us at. It worked, however, the management couldn't figure out why our neighbors were complaining of being overrun by those pesky palmetto bugs (they are everywhere in Florida).

Haha mrs k - they're rather common here unfortunately, however always lurking in the shadows so aren't always seen. I cant wait to go to mexico!! Its next on my list along with brazil and a few other places in south America. Bf's next is america and canada. And you're so crazy, your only 2 years older than me, and definitely not due for grey hair yet. Will indeed let you know, I'm so excited. Henna is meant to have conditioning and antibacterial properties also. Good for burns and a natural sunscreen.

Alcohol will kill a lot of things....on my last trip to Mexico I drank straight shots of tequila after every meal, I drank water and ate fresh produce and was the ONLY one in our group who did not get the familiar cramps and runs they warn you about. By the way........roaches don't carry any diseases that I've ever known about! They are just incredibly creepy and hard to kill. I found one in a box of cookies once....didn't finish the cookies....but didn't get sick, either!

Congratulations on 50 days pull-free! That's amazing! You should reward yourself by doing something nice. Whenever I feel the urges and realize that my hand is in my hair, I bring it down quickly and clasp both hands together before I can fall into the trance. I spare a few minutes to think about the desires and how counterproductive they are to achieving my goals, all while my hands are safely interlocked. Eventually the urge dies away and I go do something else to distract myself. I don't know if that will be of any use to you, but I just thought I'd share. Anyways, 50 days is great. Keep up the great work :)

Thanks strongerbk8, I use that technique too. I find it very effective. I couple it with take a few very deep breaths, it chases the urge away.

OMG in the grapes??!?? That would FREAK me OUT. The most roaches I ever encountered was in Hawaii. You had to take the trash out immediately after a meal. Those things were the size of thumbs.

When I was you age, I did henna. If I was your age now, I'd go indigo :-) I still play with the idea of finding some non-permanent turquoise or chartreuse & putting in streaks.
