With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...

Aw thanks alex. It's SO much easier now, SO SO SO much easier!!! Just getting through that tough first day, then tough 3 days, then week, then few weeks, gradually getting easier. That sentence was crap but you know what I mean.

Like you said a few pages back - I also could not take a pic of my hair at its worse.. the ones on here start at about 60 days PF. and they are shocking so imagine how much worse it must have been?
Now I have literally TOO much hair - its hair everywhere!
Thanks Mrs K, I can remember how bad mine was.... pretty damn bad. Much much hair missing. Definitely crazy having so much now... When I first got it cut I couldnt tie it up, but now I can get it into a high ponytail. I'm DEFINITELY due for another haircut, I've been so so so lazy about it, almost 6 months since I got it cut!!!!!! Granted, I was overseas for 3 of those months, but still. The place I go is expensive but worth it. Need to dye my hair first, slight grey/white regrowth happening, eek! Want to use henna. Aaaaaaand just bought some! It's body art quality henna from an Australian company, and I bought some Indigo too. I'm going to use them both to achieve a dark auburn brown colour (hopefully). Hope it gets to me soon cos people are starting to make comments about my grey!! Argh!
