You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, I'm Mrs Kolo I am new here and just trying to figure it all out....

I really want to be pull-free the sooner the better its dominated my life for too many years. I want to be free I want to be able to show myself to my husband without feeling ashamed.

Any tips/help greatly appreciated xxxxxxx

No way, if you're wearing your hair out, he'll notice. I'm guessing he hasn't seen you with your hair out in... forever? Maybe?

Nah he will notice really :) I used to sometimes wear my hair out when we first met (in 2005) as I wasn't pulling much and so patches were easy to hide I just smoothed down the fluffy regrowth with product. Nowadays I wear my hair out around the house - it looks a bit stupid but I don't care - I get a tired head from wearing it tied up all day. But he will notice - he is pretty good, usually notices if I wear something new (then says "how much did it cost" with resigned look on face lol)

It is exciting though - I hope I will be able to wear my hair out with friends etc!

Yeah, it DOES hurt keeping your hair up all day. I've only just realised how much recently. I wear it up very occasionally, and after wearing it out all the time for the past almost 5 months I can really feel it. And LOL indeed @ his resigned face.

Hope you can wear it out with your friends!!! :)

I bet your hair has grown loads in the last 5 months - how long is it now?

eeeeeek I am excited - I just want it to be thursday now. But I have lots of work to do today and tomorrow.

The front is the longest, the very front pieces reach down to below my collar bone when wet. It's grown heaps!!

Well at least you'll be distracted for the next few days. I'm excited too!

So nice that he notices when you wear something new. most guys here only notice something different if you would were all your clothes inside out..

haha the other day my cardie was inside out and we were in the shop - then we got home and I noticed - I asked him if he noticed and he said "yeah but I thought you knew" durrrrr

Well I did it!!!!!

It was fab the salon was amazing so nice and gave me mulled wine!!!!

I have put up pics - it looks better than I could have dreamed
