You’re right, life goes by way to fast.. so you’ll have to prioritize, and make sure you go after the things you really want. You won’t get a second chance. (coming from a 20-year old very inexperienced girl, so feel free to ignore)
But whatever you choose, you’ll do it with a full head of hair cause 11 months is freaking astonishing!!
Congratulations, I hope I’ll be able to say the same someday! You’re truly inspirational and motivating to keep on going :) it is possible and you’re the living proof of it!

Ughhhh jealous!!! I SO want to go back to Europe, if only it was 3 or 4 hrs away. I was just watching an episode of fantasy homes by the sea and they were featuring houses by the French riviera.. Sigh.

Wow one year to go on your MA. Here a lot of people finish that before they start teaching, as a requirement. What do you want your PHD in? My friend just started hers and she has a full scholarship, but I found out how much they cost and it's ridiculous. Is is crazy expensive over there?

Congratulations!! 11 months pf today, hip hip HOORAY!!! Wow you have come so far. Very proud of you.

Here all study is expensive - I wanted to do my MA earlier but it cost too much - now I am a teacher I got it funded but obviously have to do it part time alongside work - it was a three year course, it is so much work - way more than a one year MA (you can do some in one year here, some in two full time). Would want to do my PhD in education/sociology - something looking at factors that affect achievement....would have to do it part time alongside work as well. It is hard to study and be a teacher. I probably work about 65 hours a week on teaching and 10 on MA - crazy stuff. But I hope studying will open more doors for me longer term. Here university fees are about £9K a year, so I would hope to get at least some funding for fees, and then work for my living.

France soon - our flights are only 1.5 hours and that's all the way down south in france, when we go to italy in october that will take less than 3 hours :) Its about the only good thing about Britain haha.

I had the EXACT same feeling on Thursday!! It finally felt as if winter was gone.. But I’m afraid it’s only temporarily.. So we must enjoy!! :D

In my last year of high school we made a school trip to Italy. We travelled around from city to city by bus. It was amazing!

Haha - you cope with what you have to, its how some people do it all and more lol. I am working now, its a sunny sunday, and I am stuck inside with at least a couple more hours work to do. Will get back to it in a minute! I got up early so I can have some of sunday afternoon to myself - don't even start me on the housework, I spent my saturday evening hoovering and dusting - friday evening doing laundry oh glamorous life!! I have an eye twitch now though from all the stress.

Still 5 weeks til France!!!!! I need some good books to read when I am there any recommendations? I am just finishing Anna Karenina but think I might take something lighter (both figuratively and literally)

I love reading Sophie Kinsella. That’s really light and funny literature. I haven’t read her shopaholic series yet, but they’re on my list :)
I would recommend “Remember me?” I laughed out loud several times reading this book. I also liked “The Undomestic Goddess”, this one was a little slow in the beginning but I couldn’t put it down in the end. (both of course by Sophie Kinsella)
She also wrote a few books under another name “Madeleine Wickman”. I read two of them “Sleeping Arrangements” and “Cocktails for Three”, really loved both of them.

I just know when I was working that many hours a week, well a little more, I was a bit of a mess!!! Eye twitches were very common haha. But good on you. I know you gotta do what you gotta do and sometime soon I'll be doing that much work too.

The Dexter books are awesome, so is the Millenium trilogy. Ummm the Bourne Identity series is great. I love anything by Ben Elton but my favourites are Blind Faith and Meltdown, just great great books. Hehe I also love vampire books, the Vampire Academy series is sooo addictive. I always meant to read Anna Karenina.. Have had it on my shelf for ages.

Anyway updates from me - my school had a full on ofsted inspection this week, where you get a call on monday to tell us they would be in wed-thurs.....I haven't left work before 10pm this week (until today friday!!!) and was there by 6am each morning, working all day....so so so tired. I got a good though which is awesome as it was with hard kids (not my nice ones lol)

Also have lost weight yippeee! Down to about 9stone 7 now (60kgs) so so pleased!
