My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart. Used a different debit card and pulled apart everything looking for missing debit card before I left parking lot.
Got home, dropped keys. So now I have a missing debit card, missing keys. A full cartload to unload and put away. I got everything put away.
Dumped purse for a THIRD time, found the missing keys. When I checked my shorts pocket for the missing keys, I found the missing debit card.
Here's to success and recognizing that anxiety really does help in these cases...it alerts you to 'danger, danger, danger'. A cool glass of water in this heat has helped me find the calm and comfort of all is well at the moment.

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

Forgot my sunglasses at Ulta Beauty. Girl reminded me to take them.
Misplaced my keys. Found them.
I would forget my head if it wasn't attached to me.lol

Hasty, I've done that as well. I have a check list that I use every single time now and I've had the same issue with the reading glasses. Not being able to read the menu - I had to take a cell phone photo of the page to enlarge it enough so I could pick something from the section I was comfortable with. Here's to making it through that!
If I do not have enough. I start to drop things and basically I become like
a comedy of errors. What's helped me is a usual sleep schedule. A mindfulness too for creating places where I always place my keys and phone and wallet.
Stuff like that. I used to save all my receipts (which I still sort of do mostly) and write every purchase down to be mindful about expenses and so not overspend - but that's a tangent. I am sorry you were thrown off by this incidents....Tomorrow after a good night's rest your outlook will changes and hopefully you'll be refreshed! This too shall pass.
Keep on keeping on and hugs!
Serenity, that process sounds like a winner. I haven't gotten to the cleaning part up to the routine, but it will definitely help.
