  I couldn’t sleep last night which, of course makes me feel physically feel worse. Knowing what other people are going through I sometimes feel silly saying my cat died and I feel empty, numb, sad, depressed,  like I don’t want to move for days. I want to just sit in front of the tv and cry every time a commercial with a cat comes on. You’d be surprised how many there are. But you know what, these are my feelings and they are totally valid.   I had to put my cat to sleep at 4 am this morning at an emergency vet clinic. I am numb and can’t quit crying. I know it sounds silly to say a cat was my best friend but he was.   I just learned my 16 year old cat has cancer. I have had him since he was a few months old. I cannot tell you how much my heart hurts. He got me through my breakup last year by giving me a reason to get up every day. He listened to all my life-is-not-fair stories. He stayed in my lap while I cried over my ex.
