Suicide is a thought many of us have or have had. People say "Don't because the people who love you will miss you", "Your life matters" or "You're intended for great things". What happens when you know those aren't true? When you've been abused by your family and due to self doubt haven't been able to make stable friends? When you know your life doesn't matter because you don't have anyone close enough to actually care? Can someone truly care for you when they don't really know you like that?...

I posted to this forum a while ago because I can't get past the sexual abuse that took place during my childhood/preteen years. Being completely vulnerable, I put my story out there hoping for advice as to how to get past my own guilt and was personally messaged by someone offering to help as they had somewhat been through the same thing and said could help me move past my torments. Ever feel so low you're not sure you can get back up? It seems as if nothing you done or said was ever good enough? Ponder your life and wonder if anyone ever truly loved you for you or for the fact they could stomp on you to make themselves feel better? Allowed the misery to overtake you? No longer able to shake the bad thoughts? Questioning if life is worth living anymore? After all the physical, sexual and mental abuse I'm not sure I'm worth trying to be saved.

Sometimes I wish I could just shut all the way down.. Not think, not be the person I am.. Being high or drunk only seemed to hightened my guilt versus the numbness I was looking for.. I was told to speak to someone by my physical therapist but due to my current health issue I am unable to afford a psychiatrist. I thought maybe opening up more might help a little.
