Had my ESI's and all went well. L leg is a little numb but he said it would be since the narrowing into the canal is small. Said it will be good tomorrow. I was the last pt of the day and those RN's were ever so eager for my hubby to get there so they should lock the doors. I usually ask for the first slot and I think will go back to that routine. For one thing you don't have to be hungry and thirsty all day. By the end of the day, my ever so awful veins were really on strike. 3 sticks and they finally used the one in the back of the wrist that they save for emergencies. I usually only allow two sticks from one nurse but this one was really nice and I told her to go for it.
Ny bipolar daughter is manic tonight and fighting with her boyfriend via long distance. Our home is so small that you can hear every word. This is really hard on me and would appreciate your prayers. I am documenting this along with other episodes and we are going to send a certified letter to her mental health provider. We need to find a place for her but finances are really tight right now.
Love to all. I am remembering your individual requests and will try to respond individually this weekend. Plan to lay low and enjoy the beautiful sunny afternoon weather. Like you, Cathy, we have had a lot of grey days, mostly mornings.....Big football game here tomorrow night. ESPN is in town. Oregon vs Arizona State on nat'l tv to boot. Go DUCKS!
Melinda
Not so bad today, I got some sleep again off and on that seems to be the new pattern.
Looks like a pretty day, I've got a few things I'd like to do if I hold up. Right now I'm just enjoying my coffee and hanging out with my youngest. Everyone else is still in dreamland.
Not alot going on today and I'm going to try to keep it that way. I'm just going to do what I can and not push my luck.
My mood's good and my pain levels are acceptable so as long as I don't do anything stupid it should be a good day.
Hope your all feeling alright,
Mike
Wshing eveyrone else a better day. Gentle hugs and peace to everyone
Lisa
I am sorry that I was not here yesterday. The last two days have been pretty yucky for me. I am working on it but, I have to just let go and let God.
Pauli, I am so very glad to see you. I miss you terribly and I want you to know that I am thinking of you each day. I know you are here and doing what you can to check in...please just don't get lost all alone though ok?
Dave, i am so happy for you that you are able to go back to work and that your employer was willing to work with you. I think your wife is happy but, only because you are happier when you are working.
Hippy, HOW FUN!! that would be so much fun to do. I absolutely agree that a glue stick and some paper can make life pretty fun. I also love to color!
Toni, I love you and I am sorry that I did not get back to you...I got your text though so I am so very glad for you this time. I am still reasearching for the upcoming issues. HUGS and LOVE to you my friend.
MK, HUGS to you my friend.
LE, Yes, GOOOOOOOO DUCKS! I have yellow and green tape around my walker and my ducks hat is broken out! I want a duck hoodie too....but, haven't gotten to afford it yet.
I am sorry...I have forgotten some things...I am going to have to re-read and make another post.
HUGS and support my friends.
I'm not going to know what to do Monday when I will go back to work. I a very excited about it, but will miss being home too.
Thanks for everyone being here. I am having a good day so far.
Big Hugs to those who are here.
David.
I am trying to psych myself up to paint our doors. Does anyone know if the door frame should match the house or the door?
My neck is a bit better today. I am very thankful for that.
Pauli I would go with a shade darker or lighter then the door if you dont want to buy another gallon of paint you can mix some white or black to the paint and see how that turns out for you. If it doesnt look good what ever you decide you can always re paint it till you get something you like.
Went to dinner at my MIL's and we had steak and potatoes it is so nice not to have to make dinner or have to eat fast food if I want a night off from making it. It is funny the older I get the more I like to eat home cooked meals as the last thing I want to do is eat at a restaurant maybe it is because I worked in the food industry for so long but I would rather have a cup of soup then eat out
Looks like another long night, I only slept 4 hours, it's 3am and I'm wide awake.
Had a good productive day yesterday and managed to get quite a bit done without hurting myself too bad.
My wifes taking the kids on a hayrack ride to the pumpkin patch today, but I usually sit that one out. Going to piddle at getting some more work done around here today. Should be a layed back Sunday.
Hope everyone has a great day,
Mike
I am sitting in bed, my little duck next to me. The two dogs are curled up between us and, Kalla is having puppy dreams. Me, little duck and my mom went to the pumpkin patch yesterday. It was an unexpected but, lovely day trip. I could not walk around a lot but, I did get to pet the goats, honk at the geese and play with the baby pig. Little duck got to go through the corn maze; ride the hay wagon; get an elephant ear and, she picked out her pumpkin. Over all....it was a glorious day.
@Pauli
I think that the door frame should match the door. That is my thought process. Most people I know either match it to the window trim or match it to the door. Personally, I love houses that are yellow with brightly painted doors. The coolest house I have ever seen was colonial blue with navy and burgandy trim and the door was navy. It was so pretty, very classic. Since I will never own a house----I just always pray the land lord I rent from has decent paint in the house.
@Dave
I am so excited that you are going back to work. I think it will be a challenge for a while for you but, overall---you seem like a man who feels better when you put in a days' work. HUGS to you and your family and of course...Rocco!
@11
HUGS to you my friend. I have missed you my friend.
@Manny
That sounds like a good time at your MIL house. I am like you, I love home cooked meals and, I definately love the company of family/friends. I much prefer to sit around a warm house, laughing and enjoying good company. I hope you don't mind...but, I am inviting myself over for dinner k? I am a great guest and I promise to bring desert or something. HUGS to you
@Mike
I am sorry that you had a long night. You have been in a funk lately and I hope that you are going to pull out of it soon. I really enjoyed going out with the kid and mom yesterday to the pumpkin patch....I did not do a whole lot but, I had a lot of fun. Maybe.....maybe you should think about going with them this year...something different to do. Just a thought. Super HUGS my friend.
@SadSad
I am so sorry that you hurt so badly. I am sending lots of love and care to you right now.
@ all who have not posted yet or those just lurking
First, HUGS and tons of love to you all. I pray for you all each day and wish much joy to each of you. I hope always for lesser pain today than yesterday or....even just for a few hours today...some relief. Take care of yourself and love yourself as you are loved here.
ME
Recovering from yesterday, everyone is out of the house tomorrow again (Thank God) Miss little duck is going to be 16 this week which means I have to cook her birthday dinner (God help me) but, it is always worth it to see her smile and share in her joy for she has blessed my life more than I can ever repay to her.
I have to go back to the doctor today because my ear infection has come back in the left ear....I have lost hearing in that ear and, I am hoping that it is not permanent. This will be the third trip to the doc for this ear and a third round of antibiotics. I don't understand why it won't stay healed....hmmmph! Anyway...Ducky HUGS to all!
I am afraid I am not going to respond to everyone because my vision is going bonkers. I am seeing double. It is a MS symptom, I have a dr appointment this week so will discuss it then. Otherwise, I am trying to keep up. I think about you all and keep you in my prayers. Hugs, Cathy
