I was too sore to really sleep much but did get maybe 3 or 4 hours in.
One of the small towns near us is having a fall festival today and Joy's taking the boys this morning and then tonight after dinner we may go back and enjoy some of the night activities. Right now I don't really feel good enough to go but maybe I'll be feeling a little better tonight.
It's cold here again and I'm feeling banged up and lazy. Probably not going to be a very productive day.
Time to ram everyone into gear around here and get the day started.
Hope you're all well,
Mike
Hubby is working this Saturday and then going over to his sister's so I have the day to myself. I am going to do some things around the house and maybe go up to Joanns to look around. I love it when I have a free day.
Kids are still sleeping they are lazy butts and stay up half the night and then they sleep during day which in a way is good for me as they stay out of my hair. My youngest is 16 and he had two friends spend the night and well the older ones I dont have to worry about anymore. My 16 year old thinks I am his personal Taxi on the weekends and he thinks I like to go to the trading card shops NOT. He is my one child who actually likes to hang out with mom and do things he always will ask what you want to do this weekend and at times I love it as hubby dont like to go to movies or go to cider mills and such. It is great to have that relationship with him.
Well hope everyone has a great weekend.
Thank you to those who check in...I always feel so "connected" when I can see how my friends (family) is doing.
@Bridget
I am sorry hon...but, I am so glad to see that you could check in. Did you see that HP & Deathly Hallows part 2 comes out on 11/11? I am so excited!! I have asked for it for Christmas. If I get a gift...I hope it's that...it will make my year! I should go get a tattoo of the Gryffendor crest on my leg...I know, a little sick and twisted...I am addict and I am just ok with that! LOL
@Mike
Glad to see that you and wifey got out together for some adult time. You both need that. I love small town fall festivals, Oktoberfest, Art & Craft fairs, 4 H, County fairs etc.....those are the best things in life. I wish I could move to a small town again...I really miss it terribly. I am so jealous of you!
ME>>>
Another weird sleeping night...I don't know, maybe I am morphing into an owl or some type of night creature--A bat maybe?? My pain is still not great either. I give up trying to figure it out.
I will check back in later when more people have checked in. My hugs and love to you all!
Can you believe that the end of October draweth nigh? Got some candy for the kids coming on Monday night. I am not really into Halloween; more into fall but I thoroughly enjoy the little ones.
Bob has an out of town gig tonight; we got his car all fixed up and he is pleased. Drives much better. They found one more thing wrong with it and that is another $200. We both drive 96 vans and he has over 220K miles on it. The engine only has 40K. Mine has a 150K on it. But both are in great shape structurely (SP) and the insurance is low. We have never bought a new car in our marriage. And I am not complaining. If we had car payments currently, we would not be in our house.
I was up at 5 to get my son from work. He has two more graveyard shifts and then he will be transferred to another store with co workers. God does hear the cry of our hearts and answers prayer. I was and am against anyone having to work graveyard by yourself. Mark is making breakfast and then I am going back to bed for a couple of hours to get some extra sleep. I will have to take him tonight and pick him up in the am.. Bob will be home around 2 Sun am and probably won't get in bed until 3. He has to unload the eqpt back into our garage.
spent most of the day with and at my girl friends home. She did some misc chore, like clean out the horse stalls, laundry and dishes. I worked on our Bible study lesson for Tuesday.
I am determined to make it to church tomorrow. I recharge my batteries there.
I am thinking of you all, SDuck, you are in my prayers. Mike hope you have a good day with your family. Bridget, thank you for checking in as well, as Toni, Lisa, Manny and Minnie. Minnie, I love the vacation post. BTW, I enjoyed my trip to New England. If I left anyone out who has posted yest or Thurs, please forgive me. It isn't intentional. My short term memory s*cks!
Have a great Saturday. Put on your green and yellow. Game here at 12:30 PST. Go Ducks!
Big hugs,
Melinda
Manny, I remember those days of being a taxi driver. They can be disruptive but the alone time is priceless.
I hope everyone's pain has lessoned.
I'm not looking forward to Halloween on Monday. Normally I would go out with bf and his kids but I don't' think I'll be in any shape to do that on foot. We don't get any kids trick or treating in our building so it'll be just another Monday. Hope everyone else enjoys it, I do love to see the little ones all dressed up.
Hugs everyone, hope you are having a good weekend.
I hope you all are as well as possible. I just cooked chicken cutlets, and my wife sauteed some corn. I had some leftover mashed sweet potatoes with it.........yum!!
I'm still recovering from the work week, and I have to work tonight, but for the most part, I feel good.
For some reason I'm not getting e-mails from DS for the last few days. I will check that out.
Have a great day.
Big hugs,
David.
David your dinner sounds wonderful. It sounds like you are really working a lot. Bet Rocco misses you.
Lisa I wonder if it is a double whammy since withdrawal also gives you flu like symptoms. Stay warm. Epsom salts baths good. There is a new epsom salt bath with eucalyptus/spearmint. Very nice and relaxing. We live in the country and don't get the trick or treaters. Sorry you won't be able to go this year.
Wishing everyone else less pain.

I didn't do a bad job doing it in my sleep either. Grief and stress are weird things to deal with. I never know from one minute to the next how I'm going to be feeling or reacting. It sure has increased my pain levels though.
At first I felt I couldn't handle being on here, but then thought my friends are here and I'm glad I took the step to come back. The support has been great and comforting. I've just got to love you all.
I so hope everyone finds ways to deal with the temperature changes so their pain doesn't get out of control. I remember last year being a real bummer for everyone. All the more reason to be here for each other. I've been told about snow in Mn so far 18 inches. Thats crazy. My sisters in Tn and they've had it for a couple of weeks on the mountain tops.
Try to enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Much love,
Toni
Up early not feeling great having a migraine and my back has been hurting with muscle spasms so doc gave me a prescription for skelaxin and not sure if I am having a side effect from them or not. I looked it up on the net and it did say that med can cause headaches which I think every side effect from most meds say the same thing. It is almost like a standard disclaimer.
I am hoping once I go back to bed because I know I will I am up way to early not to and wake up again and take a nice hot shower I will fell half way decent. Then I can get on my way as I am volunteering at my niece's school it is the kindergarten room on Monday and I really dont want to go in there with a headache even if it is only for an hour.
I feel like I've been run over....two or three times.
I really pushed it yesterday, started using my cane again after falling the other night.
I had fun, but felt pretty rotten. It was cool though, I had a creepy mask on and just slowly hobbled around the crowd. It made me think of my "Whats left of me thread". Nobody knew who I was and I walked by alot of people I knew and they saw me but didn't see "Me". I had alot of fun with that. Nobody knew me until I met up with my wife and kids. They didn't even recognise me at first.
Well, there isn't much left of me right now. I see a lump of a day ahead. I slept for a couple of hours but my right side still hurts from falling and my back's hurting and that's kind of got my legs spazing out.
Joy and the boys have thier usual busy Sunday ahead and my day is empty, no plans, nothing pressing to do, just the way I like it.
I think I'll go boil myself in a hot tub and try to sooth some of these aches and then just lay back in the recliner and charge up my SCS. I'm sure it's getting low, I had it cranked up to 'twitch' last night, ha ha.
I hope DS gets the bugs worked out soon, I haven't got my chat back yet and still don't get updates on my home page. Anyone else had any luck with those yet?
I'm sure I'll check back in later, I hope everyone has a decent day,
Mike
SadSad-I absolutely agree with HippyOne/Two. If you are going without the meds, it can definately lead to flu symptoms. It can also lower your body's ability to fight infections due to the withdrawal. I hope you feel better soon and, I hope you are able to get your meds first thing in the am.
HippyOneTwo...I love that you had to create a new login to get back on to DS. You are such a crafty little thing. My hugs to you my friend!!
Manny-I love Halloween...trick o' treaters. The little ones are so darned cute. My little duck is going t.o.t with her friend. She can't wait. She is a little old but, her mind isn't and her spirit isn't. I wish I could get a ton of really good candy and t.o.t's I could dress up like a spirt and "drift" around in my scooter. HEHEHEH
Dave-I am so glad that things are going ok at work. How is your pain my friend? How is the SCS working for you these days. Your dinner sounds great too. I love sweet potatos & yams. They are so yummy!!
LE- I hope your husbands concert went well. What does he play, what kind of music? I always wished I was muscially inclined. Definately not my niche though.
Toni- I am so glad that you came back too. There is no time limits on mourning and, not predictable emotional reactions. Some days will be ok and others will not. No matter what though, I am here for you!! I love you my friend.
ME>>>-DS is driving me crazy! I have emailed repeatedly to both DS and MEEBO to try and get my chat back. Ummm, I must not be important enough because I have not heard from DS yet and MEEBO basically said "DS just went through some changes, email them and let them know you are having problems." I explained that I have been without my chat for months-- long before the changes. I have not heard back from MEEBO yet. It is so aggravating.
Hip pain is outta site today. I had another one of those episodes with my legs from using the lavatory. It was not fun. Oh well, it is a nice rainy day to stay down and keep covered up--which is exactly my plan.
HUGS and LOVE to all!
If I had a laptop and a recliner, I might do better. I think of everyone and feel your pain and struggle, share your joys and feel your losses.
I'm having an ever increasing struggle with pain. It seems to be a little worse every day as I push through it the best I can. I try to act 'ok' for my clients, but it's wearing me down. I can't work enough to cover expenses, I'm trying to fight depression (no luck there) and I only leave my house if I have to.
I'm supposed to be setting up surgery for my shoulder, but it seems ridiculous to fix one body part when I have pain in so many places that my legs have been shaking.
I apologize for this 'whine fest'. I guess I wanted you all to know that I'm here and I care. I'm just not able to lend the support that so many of you do, tirelessly. I appreciate your kindness and generosity of spirit.
My goal is to join in more as I'm able.
Many hugs,
Cherry
Happy Halloween everyone, enjoy your day. Big hugs and peace,
Lisa
SSLisa, I hope you get your meds early, I can't imagine what kind of shape I would be in if I had to do without.
Well, it's a good thing I rested yesterday because today is full. I slept for 6 hours last night, WHOOO HOOO!
So much going on today, I need to run over to the dollar store when it opens and get a last minute addition to my sons costume. Then I have two of the wierdest looking pumpkins my kids picked out that I need to carve. I've never seen such bizzarr looking things, I'll have to be creative with these.
Then later I'll go up to school and watch the parade. Victor's starting his basketball manager position today so he won't be riding the bus home and I'll have to go and pick him up after practice.
What's left of me will be taking the kids trick or treating tonight. I'm glad I slept decent because I don't have time for a nap today.
I'm not as sore this morning, so that's good. I'm sure all the running around today will take it's toll though.
I always enjoy Halloween, but I bet the really scary part will be when I finally get home tonight and plop what's left of me into the recliner.
Hope everyone has fun tonight,
Mike
