Glad the weeks almost over. Well today's the day I go get my perscriptions so I'll get cleaned up and go here pretty quick. I'm dreading the wheel time. It's 3 hours when it's all said and done. That's the price I pay to live in the boonies.
I didn't sleep much last night so I'm tired and it's frosty outside so I've got the aches going on. I'm not at my best for sure and will probably be a wreck when I get back. I hate when I have to do something I know will make me miserable.
Joy wants to take everyone for haircuts tomorrow, so I guess I have to get out of the house this weekend. I haven't had a haircut in awhile or shaved either, so I'm looking a little mountain manish. I'm probably just going to get it straightened up a little. I've been debating on growing my hair back out maybe one more time before it goes grey on me. I'll decide that tomorrow.
I was a compleate lump yesterday so maybe it'll do me good to get out of here for awhile. I think I'm going a little stir crazy.
Hope everyone's doing OK today, I'll check back later,
Mike
Hubby finally (after almost 6 yrs. )won his Soc. Sec. case. They're not going back very far so, no huge back payment but we're not arguing!!!! The Judge actually gave him the decision at the Hearing (this was his 2nd Hearing) because of the issue w/ the time-line of when he thought the evidence proved E. was actually disabled. So, those of you who have cases pending, don't give up. We went through TWO appeals!!
I'm trying to read and catch up w/ everyone. Love you all and so glad you're here!!!!
The sun has moved into the beginning of our Summer. Dec 1 is the beginning, but the weather is fluctuating.....today is simply beautiful. I pray with the warmth comes less pain. It is weird how my body is so unpredictable now. Waiting to hear when I get more injections and the added leads for my stimulator. I so want to be able to take less pain killers. I'd really like the fog to lift for awhile!
No plans for the weekend, but hope to get out of the house! My eldest son is in your country, he is doing a blog each night....I'm loving that. He loves it over there....he hopes to stay until Feb next year....he will be in New York for Christmas, I hope it is snowing! He is just so happy to be on this trip he has planned for years, I don't think he would care if he got the white Cristmas or not. He has had his own struggles and I'm just so proud of him coping with the travel ect totally out of his comfort zone. I've decided to push myself a little to step outside my own comfort zone as a result! CP has isolated me for too long. So this post on your thread is a bit of a first step.....thanks for allowing me to join in. Wishing you all less pain and more laughter ....;)
Myshoes, anyones welcome to chime in, I wish some of the lurkers would too. It's nice to hear how everyone is doing.
I'm not so great right this moment. My perscription run did a number on me and I'm really messed up from the drive. Then my boys did thier best to get my blood pressure up as soon as they came home and got me so pissed I thought I'd have a stroke. Victor couldn't remember what he'd done with an envelope full of money for a fundraiser and then Eric broke another window. I could just choke them both.
Joy's taking them to the YMCA to swim in a bit and it will feel good to have them out of my sight for awhile. I know the hot tub would feel really good right now but I just don't think I can spend anymore time in a car today.
So it looks like I'm in for a quiet evening alone. That's alright, I'm done, I just want to lay back and sleep for awhile and take advantage of the peace. My pain is really bad and I'm exausted from not sleeping good last night. I'm going to take my night pills and hopefully pass out and make my escape.
I'm sore this morning but not hurting like last night. Everyone is still asleep so it's peacful for the moment.
I think we're going to town later but I'm hopeful the rest of the weekend will be restful. For the next few months Victors scedual is going to keep us real busy during the weeks with practice and games.
Not much happening on my end today, just going to take it easy when I can and relax as much as posible this weekend.
Hope everyone has a good weekend,
Mike
Of course, I never seem to follow through with plans that involve doing nothing. Today might have to be the day hat I break that habit.
Wishing everyone a comfortable, joy filled weekend.
Hugs, Cherry
Nealy--I am so very thrilled for you and hubby!!! I can tell you from my own experience this week...it is incredibly validating to finally be recognized as "disabled". I know that is a little sick to say but, it is the truth. To have the courts finally say that my little duck was and is disabled was wonderful after this fight. Congratulations my friend!! Give you and E huge hugs from me!!
Mike- You slept all night?!? HOLY COW!! I don't think in all the time that I have known you that you posted about sleeping a FULL 8 hours. I am so very happy for you. It can happen my friend, you better write this down and that way you can refer back to it when you are not sleeping. Take it easy and rest like you said (as you can).
Cherry- I don't even know what to say to you. Hugs and support! I am sorry that you are hurting.
myshoes-welcome to posting! There are no requirements to post here, other than to say hello and check in. HUGS to you!
I hope others are doing ok today...a little break in pain would be appreciated by all and, I wish that for you all. HUGS my friends.
ME>> I realized this morning that with all the crazyness...I completely forgot to go pick up my morphine prescription from the doctors office. I have some for today but, not for tomorrow. I think I have some of the IR morphine left so, hopefully I can take that and, not go through withdrawal. More importantly, I don't want an increase in pain.
My mom is on my last nerve...I think we need a break from each other. When she found out that the SSI can take up to 120 days for the first check, she went into a funk...I keep trying to reassure her that at LEAST Olyvia got it and things will get easier asap. I may have to kill her later (jk of course! LOL).
Today is rest day...no sudden movements, no overdoing it, no exertion. I am pretty sore from this week and, tomorrow is grocery shopping. Monday is busy too. BLECK! I am going to go through my day and just be joyous for the many blessings, minute to tremendous, in my life and thank God for loving and blessing us.
HUGS to you all!
Well I've been back to work 3 full weeks now. Physically it's getting better. Mentally it's great. I am experiencing some added discomfort in the evenings, to the point where all I want to do is sit around and moan. I usually just go to bed early because my PM has cut way back on my meds. I see him just before Thanksgiving and we'll talk about it.
I hope everyone is getting by OK. I'm still here, but tired!!
My DS account is messed up. I am not receiving any emails about topics, hug, messages.........nothing. I don't know what to do, other than send them a message, but so far no reply.
Hugs,
David.
It is a cold Saturday here today. Sorry that I have been off for a few days.
I had to have the cyst drained yesterday and let's just say it hurts to sit. I do not which is worse this pain or the other. There is one more that may have to be drained on Monday. Other than that, I am doing fine.
My son made some very bad choices this week and this just tells me how strong the addiction process is. I didn't plan for it to turn out this way and my heart has been broken so many times that I do not know if it will heal.
I know I can't fix it. I just do not know how much longer I can stand to have him live in my house. He also made the mistake of not answering my phone while I was driving him to work. I let him have it and let him know that had it been my husband, he would have anwered his phone in a new york minute. I told him that I was not his equal, I was his mother, and I expect the same respect that he gives his dad; which sometimes isn't much.
Someone asked this week, what kind of music my husband plays. He is the drummer and sound man in a three piece band that plays old country, old rock and roll and some 80's and 90's. All of the members are over 60 and they play at the Eagles lodges and the VFW posts. Every weekend of 2011 was/is booked and about eight and a half months of next year. I take that back...we will have the first weekend of Dec off and Christmas weekend off. Next year the guys are going to take some time off. I think that is the better idea. Since Bob is still working, he works seven days a week right now but three of them are doing what he loves. He is an excellent drummer and has an outstanding voice. They all share the singing pretty much equally.
I have to pick Mark up at six; then will go to Bob's gig for at least a couple of hours. This month we are back at the VFW; what we consider our home. We are competing with Oregon football tonight. There are some good games nationwide today. I still have chores to do, so will close for now.
No new news from the post office. But we are grateful Bob is still working.
Thinking of you all. Hopefully, I will be back into the swing of things by the first of the week. Have a great weekend .
Melinda
My aunt was a heroin addict among many other things. I cannot tell you how many times she stole from the family or caused huge issues. The family let her go years ago and, it was the best decision we made. Our thought was, save the majority and let us heal from the pain. No one could save her, she had to save herself; but, we could save ourselves and our sanity ---which is what happened.
I would LOVE to hear your husband and his band. When I was a kid, I would go to the Moose lodge all the time with my dad for stuff like that and, I love the VFW. I wish I could join them but...I don't think I qualify! LOL!
I hope you have a nice and Sit Down EASY weekend my friend. My mom had those twice and...I can only tell you how much I can empathize with you as I helped her get through hers.
HUSG and SUpport!
Hugs back at you and Go Ducks!
been sick all day and going back to bed in a minute just wanted to stop by and say hey. Doctor prescribed me some muscle relaxers and insurance wanted me to take something cheaper and I got those and they made me sick so thanks insurance I am glad you saved a buck.
Hope all is well
Good morning everyone. Happy Sunday and FALL BACK day. If you have not reset your clocks....please don't forget, they go back one hour. Usually cell phones and computers are auto updated so...get the ones in your house and don't forget your alarm clock!!
I will check back later when people have checked in.
ME>>>I am still not sleeping very well. I wish that would change. I am in great spirits though and, I look forward to each day. My son went out for the night and spent the night with a friend. My little duck went to bed at 7 and I have not seen her since. My mom and I are not on great terms right now....I am ignoring her as much as possible without being rude. 'nough said on that subject.
I hope you all have a great day and, I hope you are able to laugh with all your heart and smile with all your soul today. If you are going to church today, I hope your service is blessed. If you are not going to church today, I hope your day is blessed. HUGS and SUPPORT and LOVE my family.
