Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
I started going to counseling (this time around) because my wife thought that in all the years that we've known each other (14 years), she doesn't know the real me; that I am somehow keeping something from her. She calls it her instincts. So through counseling, I am basically afraid of confrontation, I need to draw boundaries, etc... But what I'm really finding out about myself is that basically, I'm a liar! And I'm selfish! The counselor didn't tell me that. That's my diagnosis. :-) I'm sure that after tonight, he will start concentrating on the reasons why I lie. I'll let you know.
Yes, hump day has come and is almost gone. Another honest day here. Too busy at work to let lies get in the way. You said it Russ, one day, and one truth at a time. Some days it is harder than others, but every honest day is a triumph.
Happy Friday!
My wife is coming home from a business trip. The night before she left she caught me in the lie that brought me to this site. I'm sure we have a lot to discuss, but with God's strength I can do this.
Peace and All Good,
Pete
