I wanted to say thanks to all of you on here, your stories, advice, and own will to fix the problem have been a huge help in dealing with the situation.
A couple things that I have been trying to do that have been a big help to me are 1- Like many of you I have an extreme problem with the lie just slipping out before I even filter it, so Since I have been focusing on NOT lying, it blares in my head when I almost did lie, and sadly that has happened a few times, and thank goodness I haven't lied as of yet, but I tell my girlfriend about the fact that I ALMOST lied, and her and I discuss why I almost lied, why I didn't lie, and how it feels to not lie. I will openly admit that at the time it doesn't feel the greatest, but as the anxiety fades it feels better, ever time. and 2- Since I tend to lie in many many different types of situations I also took an entire evening talking to her about those times, and how she might handle them, and why she handles them that way. I hate admitting it but I don't know how to live my life WITHOUT the lying, so the prospect of learning it all again, goes beyond Daunting, but I have the most supportive girlfriend who has been patient and supportive in eerything with me.
Still a long road but I feel better about the thought of doing it, thank you all of you again.
Thanks for all of you being here.
