I had to pause and catch myself, but I did it. Hopefully the rest of the evening goes as well and tomorrow will be another day to add to the tally. Today is 4 and tomorrow hopefully will be 5....

I know what you mean RainCoaster, I am trying to rebuild my life and so I've been working towards a technology certification, and I failed my test the first time. I would usually have lied about it and contemplated it too, but when I told my girlfriend she wasn't mad or upset she just wanted to know what we needed to do to help me have a different result, it's quite bewildering in my opinion. Thankfully I'm on the eve of 3 entire weeks. This is the longest I have gone ever without lying, and I gotta admit it feels pretty damned good.

Hi folks! Another day is coming to a close, and another day without a lie coming forth. I can't say it has been an easy day, but the satisfaction is tremendous. I have to echo Russ's comment "You guys, and girls, are great!" It is pretty amazing how active this little site has become, and it really seems to be having tangible benefits for most of us. When I first joined this site many months ago (August 2009), it was pretty hit and miss if you would connect with anyone. But I had nowhere else to turn to, so I stayed with the site, and it seems to have struck a chord with quite a few people now. It is so comforting to know that you are all out there in cyber-space. The fact that we all share such similar stories, fears, hopes and goals is pretty remarkable. For the longest time I had thought that I was alone and isolated with this damnable lying. And then I found this site and met a few people to share it with. I still struggle each day to not lie, and I don't think that this will ever stop. It may become easier with time (and it does seem so at times), but I know that compulsion to lie will always be within me. I have seen what my life could have become if I did not overcome this problem, and I made the choice to not follow that path. I don't know that I could have reached this point if it were not for the support and strength which can be found here. Thank you to everybody here!

Freak, it's been tough. I'm Russ. This is week 4. I'm the worst of the worst, and I've made it 4 weeks! Sometimes it's taken mad determination and patience. Others, I've been blessed with insane luck and circumstance. It's daunting, but I can't quit. Not now, not ever.

Anyways, this has been day 8.

Good morning. I'm mike and I'm a liar. Yesterday was day 6 and I got thru it unscathed. It was actually a relatively easy day as no situations arose that would have even tempted me to lie. Today, the start of day 7, will hopefully go as well.

Hey Mike, you did catch yourself! That's monumental! Once you lie, it's so much easier just to let it go than it is to hold yourself accountable! Give yourself a pat on the back, man! While it may be day one again, it's a huge testament to your will that you've done the right thing!
