Hello,
I'm Steve and I'm a liar. I've just recently been exposed for hiding and lying about a financial/career mess. I'm really scared, but trying to stay positive that a lot of good will come out of this although it will be very painful. Please keep me in your thought or prayers. As this Easter Morning starts I think that Christ who died for us is looking down on all of us and he is pleased that we accepted the grace he provided by Asking for forgiveness and being accountable. AS I move into my fifth day I can say The Lord has blessed me with a forgiving wife and family. the chioce is all up to me wheather I continue to progress or lapse into my bad habits. I've been told it takes 21 days to make a new habit I chalenge all of us to us to check in for the next 21 days as a start and make a comitment to the change we so richly want in our lives.

Day five I'm a liar

I'm Mike and I'm a liar. Today (so far) marks day 6 for me. I have'nt had much interaction with anyone so I can't say I've had a lot of temptation or opportunity. Still, a good day is a good day.

Easter was wonderful tkank you Lord for all your many blessings. Today is what I hope will be a great day for all of us as we continue on this journey of gaining back our trust.

Day six, I'm a liar

i hope everyone had a great easter , i enjoyed mine with my family , i'm still doing great with my lying. i be
going to my third week of gamblers anonymus tuesday night.

I'm Mike and I'm a liar. Today marks the (almost) completion of day 7, a whole week. No temptations today, no urges to lie. All in all a very good day. In reading the posts of others I notice how important family support is. To those of you that have it, use it to your fullest advantage. Family should always love you and support you. Sometimes they don't, but never assume that they won't. Stay strong everyone.

how can i think about what i say before a lie just come out

Willpower, my friend. The instinct to just blurt out a lie without thinking is pretty strong, I've only just begun being able to fight it. It's still there, and it's still very powerful at times, but if you recognize what's happening, usually you can make yourself think things through. I'm not saying that it'll work every time, nor will you be able to make the right decision if you do allow yourself time to think, but it's a start.

Yesterday I told three lies all to make myself look better with a friend I sence have told ghim what I've done and he said I'm sure I've done the same. I told him yea but your not obsessed with lying so today I start fresh and move forward.

I'm Mike and I'm a liar. Today marks the beginning of day 8. Gil, I read your post. Its great that you told him what you did, but I think you should be careful about rationalizing any lie. It was pointed out to me that ANY lie is wrong, and I've reset my counter back to zero a few times. If I'mm reading your post right I think you should do the same. We have to be honest with ourselves first. Fudging numbers doesnt accomplish anything. Stay strong!

Mike thank you so much for your coments I wish to clearify, my counter is when I started this journey. It helps to see that although I've told that lie I've made the corect behavior chioce and to stay accountable to my friend and myself however if when I lie I must stop the count and start over is the way to be honest with ourselves so-be-it. I hope that clears up my ex counter on to day two. I've never been invilved with any form of 12 step so please excuse my mistake. As for today al is going well I've started devotions today to help with my relation with God for I'm coming to know without him were stuck in nuetral All have a great day.
