Being a person who likes my major life events organised and well planned I'm really struggling to deal withthis and put my life in their hands, while remaining in the dark with no idea whats going on with my own health or what happens next.
This is all so new to me but I have no doubt this will be a learning experience I have just been told by my gynae that we are prime candidates for IVF have no idea how long the process takes. I canhonestly say I have never felt so alone in my life none of my friends have been through this most got pregnant first pop which makes mefeel like even more of a failure... and I'm terrified.
My Mums the worst gossip in the world so I don't even feel like I can tell her anything as she'll just tell the whole entire extended family all her friends and then half the town will be up in my business.....
Thank God for this site this is my first day on here I love my husband and he is brilliant and very supportive but at the end of that day he is a man and doesn't understand female emotion like us girls do...
Do you know when you'll begin meds? I'm currently on BCP and waiting for insurance to approve the IVF so I can move forward.
Baby Dust all around! I pray for everyone to have a BFP!
I've been away because I wasn't quite sure what I'd be doing fertility wise this month. IVF is off the table right now, but I'll be stimming with timed intercourse. Hope you don't mind if I still stick around the group. I need all the support I can get! I took my last BCP today, and will start stims, Tuesday, June 26th. I'm taking Gonal-F...
BC - Congrats!!!! Did you have your second beta yet?
I look forward to cycling with everyone :-)
Well I had bloodwork and ultrasound and have 2 follicles this cycle, measuring 13mm and 16mm. I'm back tomorrow for bloodwork and if I don't surge on my own, I'll have bloodwork and ultrasound on Tuesday. The IUI will still likely be between Tuesday and Thursday this coming week. I just hope both those follies continue to grow!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
GCin - I'm a low responder too...but its quality not quantity that counts. Good luck on Thursday!
I start my stims tomorrow. Very excited! No clue when BD'ing time will be. My last three IUI I had 8 days on stims...then 7.....then 5. So, who knows. I REALLY hope its at least 7 days this time. My boyfriend and I don't live together and Monday's and Tuesday's are difficult because he visits his daughter. Plus I'm supposed to go out of town Saturday into Sunday...
Happy Monday :-)
Laurie - so exciting. You have such a great attitute. I so hope this works for you. It would be so great all around and it might save you another IVF. Hoping you stim slow and steady. Are you going to be monitored while stimming?
GC - good luck for Thursday. 4 days of stims is still really early - a lot can still change.
As for me, I didn't surge today, so I'm back tomorrow for bloodwork and ultrasound. I hope both those follicles have kept going and are both above 17mm tomorrow - I will update once I know.
Laurie - in the past I've always surged on my own and never triggered. But, I have a habit of half surges. For example, last cycle, on day 13 my LH was 5, on day 14 it was 23 and on day 15 it was 48. They were actually not sure amongst themselves whether the surge should have been considered day 14 or 15 because actually both can be considered surges. I've had these half surges the day before the full surge 2 cycles in a row now, and it does stress me out a bit because it makes it really ambigous re whether the timing is actually good (and they only do 1 IUI per cycle at my clinic). So, tomorrow, if I haven't surged on my own, and my follicles are the right size, I'm going to ask for the trigger - I'd like the piece of mind of knowing that the IUI is timed correctly this time around!
