GC - Sending you prayers for good results tomorrow... Stay positive!
Laurie - Good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow!
Kelly - I have found it easier to give myself the shots. You should try it! It gets easier.
Road - I think we all understand the patience or lack of when it comes to this process. Good luck as you begin this next step!
As for me, I can't wait for my retrieval tomorrow morning. :0) I am feeling very positive that this time it will work.
Gc-praying for you!!
I start Lupron on Sunday...
Counting - You're folli's had their Wheaties or something, awesome news! Glad both made it to the party, lol. Good luck tomorrow:-) Yeah, I'm planning to BD the day of trigger and the next. I've got my BF on standby...since I have no idea how long I'll I'll be on meds..I'm usually 8 days on stims, but the last two were 5 and 7 days....we'll see...
Road - How long will you be on BCP's? My RE had me on for 3 weeks...
GCin - Any news on the blood work? My fingers are crossed that the numbers came up. xo
Lisa - Good luck tomorrow! I hope they get lots of excellent quality eggs!
Karen - Sorry you had such a rough day....we've all been there. I hope tomorrow is better.
Just finished my second shot....u/s in the morning. Hopefully all is progressing as it should.
xoxo
Lisamarie- Good luck during er tomorrow. Such a huge step.
Karen- I'm sorry to hear about your day. I hope tomorrow is brighter.
Laurie- I've actually been on bcp for 4 months. My re thought that might help with egg quality. Good luck on your us tomorrow. During your cycles do you usually surge on your own or trigger?
Good night ladies!
Lisamarie - super good luck for retrieval today. Hoping it's as painless as possible and you get lots of good mature eggs.
Laurie - umm... might have been the little extra 37.5 units of gonal f booster shot that I gave myself to make sure that smaller follicle caught up... don't tell my RE! Anyway, yesterday he reviewed the cycle and called it a beautiful cycle so I figure what he doesn't know won't hurt him! Plus it was only 37.5 units, a tiny amount.... (for anyone else reading - I don't advise you do this; just after 2 IVFs and 5 IUIs, I'm starting to feel perhaps a little overconfident about playing with my own cycle..) How about you - Is your ultrasound today? Good luck!
GC - hoping your E2 level increases. What protocol are you on? Is it possible you were oversuppressed (i.e. by bcp or lupron). That can happen sometimes. If you're oversuppressed sometimes it can recover, sometimes not - if they cancel you, they'll learn better for next time so don't be too discouraged.
We still have four follies measuring 11,10,6 and 6 (somehow one shrunk...?) I imagine they will only retrieve 2, but the nurse seems to think the two smaller follies could catch up.
My estrogen came back at 201.
So I guess, Game on.
I pick up more Follistim tomorrow morning and I return on Sunday for another follicle check. We expect HCG on Sunday or Monday night, with an ER on July 3rd or 4th and a three day transfer. My DH may not be there for the transfer, if we get that far.He is photographing a wedding on July 7th. My mom has happily volunteered to step in.
Countingdown - I hope your IUI went well! I am already on microdose lupron, so the next step is no lupron.
Laurie - How did your ultrasound go?
Karan - I hate loosing it in front of people. IF is so hard. Spoil yourself a little if you can. I have cried a ton lately, three+ times today. Crying sucks.
Road - have you tried DHEA? I have been taking it till March to helpe with egg quality as well.
JA0811 - Good luck on your baseline today!

GC - glad you're back in the game. Hope your estrogen keeps rising. It's still early and your follicles can still grow so I hope they all keep going, so I think the nurse is right - the smaller ones could still catch up. During my first IVF, on my 1st ultrasound, which was done on day 6, all of my follicles were "too small". They increased my medication and they all caught up, so it is possible. I will cross my fingers for you.
Laurie - any news?
As for me, I'm now in the 2ww. I used to do pretty well for the first week of the 2ww, and then have a few days of real negativity, and then get hopeful again just before I could test. Now my hopeful phase lasts a little less time. Even now, I'm thinking to myself - I feel completely normal - are those sperm really in there swimming around, doing what they are supposed to do? I hope they are. I will really need to try to distract myself over the next 2 weeks. I so hope this cycle works.
Good luck to everyone - I will still keep checking in during my wait.
Did you mean that you increased your meds this time but still got half the eggs? I think the dr probably just meant that it wasn't predictable. I wouldn't read too much into it. Hopefully you get at least one good one in there. Good luck!
Today was somewhat better, no tears! I too hate crying. This just sucks. I hate that we have to go through this.
I did run into a long lost friend today (She was like a 2nd mother to me growing up). I was talking to her about what was going on. She is a nutrional counselor that also does vitamin therapy and she shared with me that 75% of miscarriages are due to poor nutrion. One of my biggest concerns was getting prego and miscarring. It was like God sent us to be in the same place at the same time (we saw each other at the salon - which I had to reschedule for today due to my nail tech having a conflict yesterday). I have never gone at this time and she happened to be there. She shared with me about a fanastic prenatal she highly recommends. So I am meeting her next week to talk about nutrition and some new prenatal vitamins. God is amazing!! I am staying positive.
Thank you ladies for sharing what you are going through and being there. YOU ALL ARE AWESOME! When I feel like I am lost and no one understands what I am going through I get on here and feel so much better!
Just got home from a LOOOONG Day!! Today went well...I ended up having a saline sonogram (I have fibroids they wanted to check weren't intruding into the cavity) and for some reason it was sooo painful today i was literally crying on the table. That's NEVER happened before. But, after 2 days of stims I have a 7mm and 10mm on one side, and 5 under 10mm on the other. I go back on Monday. I'm guessing I'll end up triggering on Monday. I just PRAY that the smaller ones catch up to the big one.
Road - That's a long time on BCP. Is egg quality your primary IF issue? I usually trigger (I do surge on my own though) so we know when to do IUI or in this case BD, lol. You have two more weeks on BCP?
Countingdown, I'm totally with you as far as knowing our bodies. I keep thinking if I don't get preggo within two simmed cycles and the meds don't change, its sooo tempting to self medicate. I won't! But, trust me, for a woman paying 100% out of pocket, I want to!
Happy 2WW....or is that an oxymoron?!?!
Lisa, its quality not quantity that matter. I got preggo with three transferred. And don't concern yourself with multiples right now. Four is a scary number, but women our age have such a low chance of high order multiples I'm sure you'll be fine. Praying for a great fertilization report tomorrow. xoxo
GCin - GAME ON! So happy everything worked out !!
Karen - that's definitely interesting about nutrition....what prenatal did she reccommend?
TGIF!! (almost)
Good luck! I feel so hopeful for you all (and a bit for myself) that this will work!!! GL!
Karen - I also believe that things happen for a reason and I hope this is a sign for you of good things to come.
Laurie - The stims should help the follicles to continue to grow and catch up. I had some that were slow and by the time I got to trigger they were all about the same size. Thanks for you comments! They are giving me hope!
Good Luck to everyone! This is our time to make our dreams come true!!
