Hi ladies,
This is my first time on DS. I recently finished my first IVF cycle with PGD. I had four embryos but after the PGD it was determined that only one was healthy, a little girl. The waiting has been torture and yesterday we got a BFN. I've been so discouraged.
I have had 6 miscarriages over the past four years and have one beautiful little son who is 2 and half. It seems most likely that I have many eggs with chromosome abnormalities - we knew that was the case for sure with two of the babies.
I will start my second round of IVF in July. Anyone else?
This journey has been so long, and with so much grief. I don't want to do this alone anymore or hide my miscarriages.

... then I brought up my chest pain again and he told me that they would have to cancel unless I could get an all clear on a chest xray, blood work & spirometry examination done today! Ughhh!!
So I ran around everywhere and finally I got all my results and they were all ok. My pain seems to be a pulled muscle in my chest. omg it hurts so bad!..I can't even lay down... but so happy I can now continue with pick up! Not looking forward to being in pain from surgery and in my chest on Monday but hopefully it will be all worth it!

Kelly and Erin - AF arrive yet? Hope so!
JA - have you heard anything else? Was that a cyst? I had a cyst last month and the BCPs made it disappear before I started injections. I hope things work out for you and you don't have to cancel.
I went for u/s yesterday and it seems my dominant follicle is over-achieving and is now at 16mm - leaving a couple 11s and 9s in the dust. Dr says we are canceling IVF this cycle. I'm so disappointed. It's hard to imagine that all that medication (4 injections and a pill every day for 9 days) didn't accomplish the goal. Anyway, we switched gears to IUI, I'm taking much less meds, and if that follicle is close to 20mm Saturday, I'll be doing IUI either Sunday or Monday.
Do any of you know anyone who's had success with IUI at all? I don't... but I'd like to go into this with some sort of positive outlook. :)
Kelly - AF finally arrived. I spotted for so long I just called up the dr and they said come in and start anyway. I start lupron tonight. I've never wanted AF so much! I hope you're starting soon too!!!
babysteps - Hooray!!!! Hope you're feeling better soon and get the best news of all. You're in my prayers.

Erin - I know what you mean about wanting AF so much! Never thought that I would be looking forward to it! Funny how that worked out!

babysteps - glad that you got everything cleared to continue with your cycle!
He did offer to turn it into an IUI though, so I went with that. He said mass was actually a follicle which he says must have an egg. it was measuring at 27, while the rest were around 10-11. it became more clear with each ultrasound i guess and thursday's confirmed it for him. he said it would be an uphill battle from here and IVF wouldn't make sense. I agree with him and think it was the best call, but of course so disappointing. i feel for you i4birds- I'm sorry you are going through this as well. 6 days of shots for nothing. well, it feels like nothing considering our chances with an IUI are about 5%. my DH had 4mil before wash, and less than a mil after...praying once again for a miracle. This time ill be taking progesterone. My RE was somewhat optimistic (maybe just to make me feel better? but it helped) he said my uterine lining looked good and not to write it off, that there is definitely a chance. ugh, more waiting. my next chance for a baseline is August 10th.

As for me... I am still trying to keep busy but yet relax. This 2ww is dragging. I need July 12th to get here quickly!!!
I'm feeling really good, just tired. The whole thing went smooth. I got home missing most of my post ER meds, so that was a hassle, but the pharmacy is correcting their mistake by shipping everything to my house.
I'll get our fertilization report tomorrow and I'll be one pins and needles till then. If all goes well we will have ET on Monday at noon.
Baby steps - that's awesome that you have 7!
I4birds and JA - good luck on your IUI's! I hope they are golden and you can skip IVF.
Lisamarie - I hope the 2ww speeds by for you. I hate waiting around. I hope to join you bin the wait very soon.

GC - Hows the fertilisation going?
I was just checking my follicle review and it says I have a 17, 15, 15, 14 on the left and a 18, 18, 16, 16 on the right. Probably a dumb questions but I forgot to ask my RE on the last visit, does anyone know if they ok numbers? and the likelihood of them holding eggs?
Kelly - odd about bloodwork showing you had AF but you didn't experience. Glad you know everything looks good though. If you wanted a fresh transfer, could you press for one? I mean if they measure your uterine lining and all looks good, why not? It would drive me crazy to wait personally... Good luck!
GC - Congrats on ER! Rest and relax and take it easy! Wishing you lots of luck for the fertilization report today!
Lisamarie - I'm with you in the 2ww and it's dragging for me too. I don't know why but at my clinic they schedule the beta pretty late. Mine is scheduled for July 13th but I may actually ask to move it forward until Tuesday the 10th - that would be 12dpiui, which should be able to give me an indication... Good luck!
JA - sorry again that the cycle was cancelled! When is the IUI - I'm guessing it's pretty soon or you already had it given the size of the lead follicle.
Laurie - where'd you disappear to? How are things? How many follies did you have at trigger? Hope you're feeling better now!
As for me, today is day 9 of the wait. I tested yesterday and today and both had the absolute faintest line. Don't get excited yet - it didn't get darker today compared to yesterday and i have no idea if it's still left over from the trigger shot. Or it's so faint it could be just the evaporation line. I'm driving myself crazy with this testing stuff, scrutinizing the test strip so close I could even be imagining a faint line. Anyway, I won't hold my breath but I guess I'll continue to hope...
Sorry its been a few days for me to check in, work has been crazy!
So, I triggered Tuesday evening, and think I had 4, possibly 5 folli's. BD'd Wednesday late night and Wednesday morning, Thursday late night and Thursday morning. I'm going to try and wait to HPT until the 17th or 18th. We'll see it I can make it.
Babysteps - How are your ribs feeling? Great folli count! I believe something like 75% have eggs....Your estrogen level should give your RE an indication of how many eggs you'll have.
LisaMarie - I hope you're keeping busy during the 2WW! So far I'm not too bad. When is your betas?
JA - Don't be discouraged! Everyone's body reacts to the meds differently regardless of age. At least you're able to do an IUI this month. If it doesn't take, what they've learned from this cycle will make the next one better. When are you expected to have the IUI?
i4Birds - Welcome! This is definitely the right place to be. Sorry about the cancelled IVF cycle, that must be frustrating, but there are many women on here with IUI success stories. Do you know yet when you'll trigger?
Kelly - Did AF arrive yet? My trick to getting AF to arrive was taking an HPT, lol..whenever I was late and would get excited, i would take a test, get a BFN, then insult to injury, AF would arrive within 12 hours, lol.
Erin - WhooHooo on starting Lupron!
Countingdown - How many days past trigger are you? I would HPT 10 days post double trigger and it would be out of my system. I hope this is the real deal. Jealous that your clinic give betas with IUI, mine won't give one without a positive HPT.
GCin - Congrats on the egg count! You must feel sooo relieved. Any news on the fertilization report yet?

For me - 1st morning of injections. I'm just so glad to be trying again. It feels like I've been waiting forever to start round #2.
Kelly - I second Laurie, taking an hpt always started my AF too! Lol. That is weird about the blood work. Glad to know theire explanation helped ease your mind.
Laurie - good luck holding out to hpt. That's the hardest part. I plan to as well before my beta.
