Enjoy this month off like you've never done before!!! :)
Hoping - I just went through my very 1st cycle this month. It has been a huge blessing that I'm a teacher on summer break so injections and appointments have been my 1st priority with nothing to stand in the way. I was really nervous about starting injections but they weren't that bad. I did notice that some hurt a lot more than others for seemingly no reason. I realized later that it made a difference whether I was tense or not. RELAX as much as you can when you inject. As far as moodiness. I really wasn't affected. Other than some restless nights not sleeping well, the hormones didn't make me crazy. Good luck and you are in the right place!
Yes! This sucks! I'll have to take 1/2 days too. I think everyone will just figure out what's happening anyway because I've been on this path so long. I'm going to ask for a student teacher to take some of the pressure off. Unfortunately, I work in an urban, under-performing school and the superintendent is super strict about people needing personal days in the beginning of the year.
But mostly, I'm so tired of waiting. Waiting for miscarriage, waiting for AF, the infamous 2WW, waiting to start again, waiting in the waiting room.
Karen - glad you don't have my issue, big whoohooo on the folli's production =)
GCin - did you POAS again today?
Hoping4Baby - starting IVF is scary, but exciting. Your RE will lead you every step of the way. They scariest part for me was learning to give myself shots. But that really isn't too bad.... The side effects from the stims are really the only annoying thing. I felt bloated and uncomfortable a lot...oh, and really, really tired all the time.
Road - I never heard of high protein for OHSS before, thanks for the info. I joined Weight Watchers and started exercising again to lose weight after my ectopic. Unfortunately now that I'm back on the TCC train, I've gained 8 lbs back (i originally lost 35, now I'm down 27). I miss exercising and just feel gross again =(
i4Birds - Good luck tomorrow!
Not really a definitive answer, but its something. Guess we'll see on Monday. Thanks for asking!
Hoping4Baby - IVF is scary, I agree. But really worth it. The first injection is the hardest and they just get easier as you go. If I can do it (I'm a high baby) you can!
I hope everyones cycle is going well
GC- Can't wait to hear how your blood test goes, slight lines are a good sign.
Laurie - Praying everything works on this next go around.
hoping - praying 1st IVF works, I am in the same boat...
babysteps - woohoo! that is a great sign! Praying for the BFP tomorrow!
As for me, I should be going in Wed for the my retrieval. Doc said everything is looking great. My estrogen was really good went from 330 on Thursday to 760 on Saturday. Not sure how many follies I had but doctor said everything looked like it was growing right on schedule. I go back tomorrow for hopefully a final u/s before retrieval. I had a really relaxing weekend and plan a massage on Monday to help keep the relaxing feeling going. I have been lucky b/c I haven't had any side affects beside some headaches and bloating. No nausea, no sleep issues. Thank the lord!!! I haven't been emotional, just going along for the ride. I look forward to what they tell me tomorrow. Seems like the time is going fast...I know that will hault when the 2WW comes.
Praying for all!!!
GC and babysteps - praying and hoping for you! It seems like BFPs to me!
i4birds - when is your blood test?
1st ultrasound (cycle day 2) - no stims yet, they thought they saw a 14mm follicle or possible cyst
2nd ultrasound (cycle day 6) - only saw two decent folli's...a 12mm and a 16mm....where did the 14mm go? was it a cyst??
3nd ultrasound (cycle day 8) - largest follicle was 12mm...and then a bunch under 10. What the heck happened to the 12 and the 16??
The RE was as confused as me...his first thought was that i ovulated, but there was no fluid and my blood work (as well as my home OPK's) said I hadn't. The RE told me that we would wait until my blood work to come back before making any decisions on the cycle. According to him my prior bloodwork was right on track. Then I got a call saying that the bloodwork looked fine and to continue on with the meds and I go back on Tuesday. I'm really concerned this cycle is cursed and I should just stop. UGH!
Congrats to all the BFP's out there....GCin, good luck with your beta tomorrow! Karen & Hoping4Baby, I hope all goes well as you start your journies....Karen, enjoy your massage tomorrow :-)
So today I went for bloodwork & u/s...so frustrated. Now I am doing ER on Thursday. This shifting of days is not good for someone that plans...not like you can plan much on this journey. I had just enough GonalF to get through this morning...but now I have to do it tonight and tomorrow so I had to stop at a pharmacy and get enough for that...$730 later...OMG I cried all the way home. The expense just got to me...I know this is a VERY expensive journey but OMG. Just got overly sensitive with the money and pushed out another day. I just want to get this part over. I just kept telling myself, it is just money...just frustrating.
RE said things still look good, my follies were measuring around 17 so he wanted to give it one more day. He also said my lining was great...they want it over 6 and I was almost 12. I guess that is good :)
I am starting to take things out on hubby, haven't done that yet on this IF journey but yesterday and today he has made me so frustrated. I am blaming the meds. Anyways, off to work I go hopeful I will not have any breakdowns. Praying for all!
Hugs!
Good luck to all of you! I've been lurking on here and praying for BFPs!
Laurie- I really hope they figure out whats wrong! Sounds very confusing!
Kelly- i cant imagine being told I have to wait until January and its July. During this time you must have prayer and lean on your support beams. You and dh are exhausted Im sure... Maybe its time to mini vacay.
