Finally had a good ultrasound today....Follicles were: 12, 10, 14.5, 12, 12, 16, 10.5, 16.5, 17 and two less then 10. A lot of follies!!! My instructions are to trigger Wednesday night...and BD Wednesday/Thursday. They gs expect I'll have 3-4 folli's at time of trigger. Yea!! I don't know what the heck was happening earlier in the week, but I'm glad things ended on a good note.
Karen - I know change stinks when you're a planner, but this will make the cycle that much better and at least its only one day. Exciting!!!
Kelly - I'm bummed you have to wait so long.... Are you only going to do one more retrieval? I know you wanted to get as many eggs as possible for freeze. Either way, when January comes around you'll have a basketball team on freeze just waiting for you! How are you feeling?
GCin - Sorry again about the BFN...I know how disappointing it is, but I'm glad you're able to hug Fiona and focus on blessings for now. I'm so impressed with your glass half full way of looking at things.
Nae - I hope you're having a good week. Congrats on starting meds!
Hoping4Baby - starting on the BCP is fairly common...my first cycle I didnt but my RE is recommending it now. It helps to "rest" the ovaries and pituitary glad so you have (I believe) a better response to the stims.
BabySteps - I'm shocked your RE isn't more positive...50 is not a low beta. There are so many women on here that started lower and had a successful pregnancy. Its really how the beta increases going forward that counts. When is the next test?
I guess that's it for now....time for my shots
xoxo
babysteps - keep the faith! praying you get a good second beta.
Laurie-sounds like things really changed up for you, great news.
GC - How are you doing?
As for me just did trigger as stated above, praying all is ok for my ER on Thursday.
Hoping - i started on bcp ... As my re wanted all follicles to be shrunk to one size. i start triggers in the morning and im praying that it goes well.
Praying for you babysteps
Laurie- OMGoodness check your body out doing what its told to do. Many blessings to you and I hope your BD is successful. So happy for you.
Karan- i dont think you should worry about that small of amount. You got more than the majority. Lets think happy happy thoughts your big day is coming fast :0) best of luck thursday.
As for me- after my caotic day of back and forth with my ivf nurse and cvs caremark ... My follistim should be here by 1030am and I will do that shot at work. ( i didnt want that but I got to do what i gotta do)
When I wake it will be shot day number 1 and time for me to cypher my chi and get in tune with my body. I must trust my body to do what it its being asked to do. Thats all for now :0)
All other ladies.... I hope you all are well
GC - I'm so sorry. So many BFNs in our group. It makes me sad but you are all so resilient.
babysteps - praying for you that your little embie holds on.
So I'm back on BCPs and starting again. Attempt #4 and fingers crossed.
Erin - good luck on #4, praying things work out this time.
Hope everyone else is doing good. Prayers to all :)
I have been on DS for about 2 months now but somehow I must have missed this thread. I usually go to the general discussions but checked out someone's thread who suggested coming here. Any who, I am 35 and have been ttc for 4 years. My DH had a VR a month after we were married and we have been BD'ing ever since. I got real aggressive about two years ago and had 5 unsuccessful iui's. I decided to take a much need break and have returned to my IF journey more determined to have a child of my own. I have two wonderful step kids (ages 17 and 15) but I want to be a mommy. I went to my first initial consult with my RE on 7/20 and was told that once my period starts, my IVF process will begin. Well, I am also a teacher so planning and timing are everything. I prayed that I would start a couple days early to time my ER and ET before school starts. Well, it happened. I started today (3 days early) so I start my process tomorrow. My RE's office is having me do a day 2 start cycle meaning no BCP and straight to meds. Anyone ever done or heard of this? I am trying to catch up on everyone's status but with over 250 posts it might take me a while. Lol! Until then, I wish everyone the best :)
Mrsryan- good luck on your second round, keep us posted on your journey,
Ttcteacher - welcome, glad AF started early now on for the rest of the process. I wish you luck and you can to the write thread.
Karan, so happy you got 9 that's good. I hope you feel better soon. My last cycle I had the same problem but for just one egg, It must have been bad to endure for more than one.
Ttcteacher, I'm glad your dates are good. I wouldn't want to have to think of that added complication withmy cycle. It must be hard.
Mrsryan, I'll be thinking of you so your transfert goes well. Good luck for your TWW.
Kelly-Congrants on all 3 embies making it to freeze. Thats great!
Karan-9 eggs! That's awesome news. I hope you get a good fert report today.
Laurie-What a quick cycle! I hope this TWW is as peaceful for you as your last one.
Nae- YAy for starting stims! I'm glad everything finally was sorted out with the pharmacy. Things like that just add unnecesary stress.
Mrsryan-Good Luck this cycle. I hope you get your BFP!
TTCteacher-Welcome! It can certainly be overwhelming trying to catch up on everyones posts. I hope all goes well for you this cycle!
As for me, I start stims tomorrow AM and I am SOOO ready for this. Bring it on!
Welcome - mrsryan and ttcteacher. I'm glad you're with us. Ttcteacher - I think sometimes with a previously low egg count, they skip the BCPs and lupron because they can repress egg production.
Babysteps - I'm so sorry for your loss. What a terrible thing to have happen after coming so close. At least you know this route CAN work. I'll be praying for you.
Karan - That is hard. I'm sorry you only have 1. I only had 1 too. It can happen. You're very strong to keep trying. I'm praying for you too.
i4birds - where'd you go? Have you had you're beta yet? I'm sorry if I missed it.
I have about 2 more weeks of BCP's left. It feels like torture. I'm curious who else is still in the BCP phase? hoping4baby?
I talked with my principal and she's excusing me from the first few days of the school year since that seems where ET will fall. She wanted to know why I don't just adopt. (Why do people think adoption is easy? Or that its the logical answer for IF? Grrr.)
