Triggered yesterday!!! This cycle went by soooo quickly. AF should be due around August 8th, but hopefully she won't show for another 40 weeks or so, lol
Nae - Congrats for starting BCP! How long are you on it? Did your RE give you an expected schedule?
Erin - Glad you're starting up again...IF ladies are strong and resilient! when do you expect to do retrieval?
Karen - I'm so sorry only one egg fertilized! I had an IVF with one egg retrieved, so I know how disappointed you must feel. But, it DOES only take one to get pregnant. I hope this cycle still ends with your BFP
TTCTeachers - Congrats on getting started! My first two IVF's did not have BCP's in the protocol. Its not that unusual.
Roxy - good to hear from you. i hope you're doing well and healing. I've had two miscarriages and an ectopic and getting back on the baby train definitely helped me recover.
Road - You've got a great attitude! You can do this!!
Thanks for all the warm welcomes.
Karen - youre right, it only takes 1. IF is such a rollercoaster..full of us and downs. Sending positive prayers your way.
Laurie - thanks for the info about BCP. My RE said since my numbers and blood work are normal there was no need for BCP. Here's to hoping 40 wks. w/o AF!
Roxy - so glad you are back in the saddle again. You are one brave woman. What grade do you teach?
GC and baby - praying for you both :)
Erin - your principal is awesome, but ignorant on IF issues. I find the best this to do when I get asked questions like these is to just *Smile*
As for me, I had my blood work done again and another ultrasound. I was kinda nervous because if they saw any cysts on my ovaries it would have delayed my process but once again God answered a prayer. I am supposed to start my stims tonight. I am putting it off because I am nervous. I am on follistim. Any suggestions?
Erin- Your principles response was a typical "think im helping you" response. Ppl dont understand why we would go to lengths that we do for a baby. Proud that your starting cycle 4:0)
Karan- i know you wouldve preferred more and I cant imagine how you feel but you have the right mind frame... Stay positive and we got your back we will pray for you.
Ttcteacher- woohoo for stims... Ive been on mine for 4days and im anxious for the next step.
Kelly-3 embies!!! Way to go
Mrsryan- welcome and praying for you bfp.... Good luck on your transfer.
Road- good luck on stims
Well me...... Ive been on stims since wednesday and wow the rollercoaster of horomones. 1 minute im happy another i could punch a tree.. Lol but its going well its just alot to rrmember.... I have an ultrasound /bloodwork scheduled for monday morning. Im excited because i get to see where we are in this process... Ladies can you tell me what should i expect from the first ultrasound on stims? Whats a good result? What should i be praying for?
Many blessings and baby dust to all of us! Big big hugs
GL to everyone on their journey! I will be lurking around, but I'm feeling a bit emotional because we are not transferring or starting another round anytime soon!
Kelly- bless your heart but im sure none of us will mind you lurking around showing support as we will do the same for you. Stay strong
Karan--- wooohoooooo!!!!!!! Way to grow!!! I know your feeling much better with that than you were. Im so happy to hear that. :0)
sorry I have been pretty absent. I have been reading all the email updates, but have had a hard time keeping up when it coms to replying!
Karan i am so happy another one fertilized for you!!! praying this works!
Erin, you asked a couple days ago who else was still on the BCP phase. I just started them again about a week ago. baseline is August 10th.
question for you all....how does your RE do things in terms of baseline u/s? I go to a single practice so its only one doctor and he does baselines 2 fridays a month. it seems weird to me bc it seems ideally the baseline would be a few days after AF, but with it only being offered twice a month it doesn't always add up that way. last time i tried IVF it did, but this time my baseline is set the day before AF should come. it just confuses me. maybe someone can help me understand it better.
Also I remember earlier in the thread when i was getting advice on meds one or two people talked about spreading them out as much as possible, and it sounded like they did one in the morning. Is that common? has anyones RE given any advice on if that is recommended or not??
Thanks, and hope everyone is having a good weekend!
Kelly- I know the wait is hard. I was a lurking for months before I had to courage to join.
JA I go to a single practice as well and it is usually a nurse who does my US. I did one Friday; I will go back in tomorrow morning and then again this Wed and Friday. I will also get BW done every time I go in to check my estrogen levels. They said they do so many to watch how my follicles are growing and to adjust my stim med if necessary. My RE said the two US in the middle are optional but they wont know how Im doing (in terms of follies growing) if I didnt have them so I opted in. I figured if Im spending this much $$ and putting all my hopes in this then I dont want to short change myself or my future baby by trying to save a buck, lol As far as meds go, my RE has a detailed calendar of when and what time of day I have to inject or take medicine. I have to do my stims at night between 6-9 (trying to do it the same time every day) Looks like I will also do my other injectable at night as well.
Nae- good luck on your US tomorrow. Let me know how it goes since we are basically identical in our cycle.
Blessed Sunday to you all,
ttcteacher, thanks for your response. I will get an u/s every other day and bloods as well, i was just talking about the baseline u/s- the first one they measure everything against. at your RE office do they have those on set days, or have you come a few days after AF and then start regular u/s from there?
Laurie- how are you doing after trigger? Bd begin?
TTCTeacher- how cool is it that we are identical in cycle. How are ur horomones treating you? Ill let you know tomorrow how things go. Let me know how you u/s and bw goes. Maybe we will trigger together too.
Roxy- we are thinking of you, hope all is getting better.
Ja- because my doctor is so far away, i have the luxury of doing the ultrasound whenever they tell me to. My baseline ultrasound was done after 29 days on bcp. He got the results and was happy that every follicle had shrunk like he wanted. My next u/s is tomorrow. Ive been on stims since wednesday and so i am excited ti see what this one will show.
To all the ladies going thru this rollercoaster ride. We must be made of steel to endure this the way we do. Ive had to really calm myself because my horomones are so affected by the extra horomones so i dont lose it. I feel bad for the DH. As he is the one that gets the bulk of this attitude. Lol. One of the meds is giving me serious hot flashes and a headache so ill be happy to end these.
Have a wonderful monday and ill be updating as soon as i get results
Toodles ladies
Talked to my REs nurse and they are so confused. After the D&E my RE put in a IUD so my lining would not stick together again. I need to get it taken out and this seems to be a huge problem. Why because REs don't do this in there normal pratice. This isn't my problem she toke on out after my surgery in January but then I get that they have no clue what to charge me. I don't really care, getting a appointmemt with my ob to do this will take months.
I just really want to be transfering in September like my RE wanted !
ja, glad to see you sem to be getting better, my us was done at day 2, my RE just wanted the correct timing in my cycle but as two cycles aren't identical, I don't think the timing is important more how things progress.
Karan, so glad things went well at transfert, we are all hoping for a fast TWW and a big fat positive.
Laurie, hope the marathon is going well, I think you're now in your TWW so good luck. Plus love your new profile pic, you look great even if you haven't been feeling great.
I hope the ups and downs of the hormones, emotions and all the medical appointments aren't to bad. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. You are all so strong it helps me find my own !
As for me - had ultrasound and bloodwork this morning ... Unofficially I had 12 follicles on the left and 8 on the right... 3 on each side were over 10. Im not sure if thats good or bad but from. What I have learned from you ladies ... I think im headed in the right direction especially being on day 6 of stims. Ill let you know what doctor says .. Im hoping for ER friday.. We will see :0)
I'm just about to begin my 1st round of IVF with Intralipid therapy. Everything has been so quick. 2 weeks ago I went to my obgyn and found out my FSH was elevated. I immediately made an appt with a RE per his advisement and I am beginning my meds this Thursday. I'm scheduled for a hysteroscopy this Thursday to remove a 2cm polyp that is sitting all comfortable at the base of my uterus. I also have a fibroid that doesn't seem to be an issue but might need to be removed once the RE is in there. Additionally I have 2, 19 cm cysts on both ovaries that my RE is hoping my BCP will shrink or she will need to drain it. I am getting intralipid therapy because I am hypothyroid. I'm 32 and married with no biological kids and this entire process has been draining and extremely emotional. I cry for just about anything and oddly enough, I keep seeing babies all over the place and they all seem to want to play with me. I'm sure it is me noticing everything much more. My tentative retrieval date is 8/23 or 8/24. Transfer 8/28 or 8/29. I'm so nervous. My husband and I are ready to have a little one. I'm 32 and have been fighting the feeling that focusing on my career wasn't the best thing to do as I deal with this. I'm holding strong to my faith, my husband, my family, 1 friend who has gone through IVF 3 times and now on her 4th try is finally pregnant and this board. I'm reading everyone's story and I can relate to so many of you. I'm sending baby vibes your way. It does bring me comfort to know that I am not alone on this journey. *tears*
