JA - Congratulations! That is so very exciting. I'm thrilled for you. You will feel it all soon enough. How did your beta go?
Jewelz - ='0( I am so very sorry. I know this time is very difficult. Take the time you need. Remember you have people here for support in any way you need it. Thinking of you.
JA - What wonderful news! I'm so so glad for you! You are so super supportive of everyone here. I just know you are going to be an awesome mommy : )
Jewelszi - I'm so sorry. We all know what its like to have our hearts broken by IF. Hugs to you, my dear.
Hoping - fingers crossed for that embie! Burrow in there baby!
This is why I was MIA. The past week and a 1/2 have been pure torture with deciding what to do with my low follicle count, etc.. We ended up with 4 embryos. By day 3 they were supposed to be blasts for their PGD biopsy but needed to grow a few more days. By day 5 they were blasts but then 3 promptly died and 1 died the morning of biopsy (Sunday). I can't even think back to what I put myself through this summer. I know the RE is going to counsel me to use an egg donor but I don't want to! I was feeling pretty bad for myself for a while. I started this thread and since then I've started 3 cycles, made it to ER 1 time and ET never.
Now I'm going to wait til after Christmas to let my body rest and then decide what to do. I will still keep checking in and praying for you guys. I look at my son and thank God for this miracle.
Thank you, EVERYONE, for your support. My husband graduated from Police Academy today (he's been largely away for the past 6 months). Its been such a comfort to communicate with other strong women fighting this fight too.
Hoping4ba- I'm so glad the retrieval went better than expected for me thats the hardest part physically. 5 eggs is great! Fingers crossed they all make it to great looking embies! Cheers!! It only takes 1 look at me!!!
Erin317- I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I really hope the RE can come up with a different protocol or another way around this for you. Maybe a second opinion wouldn't hurt? I'm sure thats the last thing you want to do right now. How disheartening though I'm so sad for you. All of that hard work and for nothing : ( BOO!!! Congrats to your hubby! I agree give yourself a break and go have a giant glass of wine for me and maybe a nice massage you deserve it. Pamper yourself for a little while. Do what you think is best and whats in your heart.
As for me I go back to the RE tomorrow to have my 2nd ultrasound. Hopefully there will be SOMETHING in there. Right now I have been spotting for the last few days so I'm not super optimistic. It's not heavy bleeding though its annoying. I will probably not get any sleep again tonight thinking about this.
MrsRyan-Thanks for the support!
AS FOR ME I finally saw a heartbeat today!! WHOOOOPIIIEEE!!!!! I started balling and crying my eyes out when she showed it to me. Don't now what is causing the bleeding but nothing is wrong and its A ok to them. I won't know what my beta is until tomorrow though since i went in so late.
Well tomorrow is my egg transfer. I'm feeling like junk. I felt great yesterday and most of today with just mild cramping. A couple hours ago my stomach feels so bloated and tender. Its cramping and so uncomfortable. I took a warm bath and now am going to go lay with book and cup of tea. Anyone else feel this way 2 days after retrieval? Is this normal?
hoping- how did the transfer go? i dont remember feeling that way after the retrieval- sorry. i hope you are feeling better now. good luck!!!
mrs ryan- yay!! im so glad! i can't wait for that! im so glad things are going well for you!
me- my second beta was 588:) im trying not to let my fear of a mc ruin my current excitement!
hoping - I felt like that after my ERs too. My lower ab area was very sore and my tailbone hurt too. The nurse told me the follicles release fluid when the egg is removed and it makes the area really sore. Good luck with ET this morning!
School has started for me this week. So I haven't been able to check in regularly.
