Erin- Hang in there girl you only need 1 right : ) Stay strong and don't give up we are all rooting for you!!
Jewel-good luck today. I hope your embryos find a nice safe spot and nestle in.
MrsRyan good luck with your beta today. I cant wait to hear the results.
JA- Nine embryos. Thats awesome! Way to go!
Karen and blfix- How are you two gals feeling?
Erin- you are a strong woman so those follies will be strong too. Hoping for the best for you and your follies. Grow baby grow!
Nae I am so sorry love. Once we get past this, well move on to plan b or c or d or e etc. :) Always here for you. xoxoxox
Two more days until my betaThe longest two weeks of my life..
Nae - I'm so sorry. Having the baby implant and still not work out - there are no words. Its tragic after all your effort. You WILL be a mom some day and a damn good one. This whole process proves that IVF CAN work for you. Hang in there sweetie.
JA - super yay! 9 is so amazing! I'm so happy for you!
I'm wondering how all the ladies stimming with me are doing. Hopin? Gatorgirl? ASR?
TTC I am doing pretty good. I spoke with my dad and he told me my biologicial mother never got sick with me so I'm hoping it's a family trait. I am having another U/S next Thursday. I am loving all the U/Ss. Good luck on your Beta!
erin, I do have some friends who are usually opposed to IVF. However with us luckily they have been very supportive. They told us they do not know anyone who deserves it more. Most of the people who oppose it likely have never had trouble concieving and therefore do not know what we go through. If they cannot be supportive then it might be best not to even speak to them about it. During this time you need people who support you through the process not oppose what you are doing.
Mrsryan, best of luck on your Beta! Sending baby dust your way,
JA - that is wonderful news on your embroys! When is your ET scheduled?
Erin, thanks for asking about me. I've been MIA because I've been going through quite a bit...
I had a few bumps in the road so no I am on schedule for Sept. Briefly I have endotrimetitis (an inflammation of the uterine wall) which they found out from my hysteroscopy pathology report. So I've been on antibiotics for the past 2 weeks to clean that up. 2nd, my progesterone level spiked to 2.9. At 3.0, they have to cancel the cycle. Because of the infection and my level spike , I decided tp cancel my cycle. I want my body to be in the most optimal shape so it can never be said that, "this doesn't work because of this or that, etc." I'm keeping the bigger picture in mind. So my level spike is due to 2 cysts sitting comfy on my ovaries. When I was going to get them taken out, I found out that I have a clotting issue (which I never knew and never had any issues with until of course I am TTC). SO now I am on Levonox (blood thinner injections) and will possibly go on a baby aspirin as well. I can no longer ever be on BC. All the hiccups have led me here. I just gave 24 vials of blood this morning and took a chest xray (per my hematologist). I began to get annoyed by all the tests and all the stuff they kept find. Like, I'm ready to go with this but in the end, my RE is being so through, I can't complain. I completely trust her. She's doing everything to make sure when I start my cycle, it is an effective one that will result in our miracle. I'm grateful. Thursday I have my calendar review to start my hormone injections. Monday, I have my cysts drainage and biopsy (to make sure my infection is gone) and we'll be on our way. I'm nervous but excited. My husband has been so supportive through it all. I feel good *as I look at my bruised belly*. This is all worth it! That is the only thing I keep in my mind with the help of hubby. The emotions, the pain, the tests, everything..it is all worth it. And when I have my little miracle, I am going to tell him/her exactly what I went through for them to be here. Why? Because we wanted you so badly that we would do whatever was necessary. God is on our side ladies. Please believe that and it is so hard but through it all .... he is! Please stay positive and do not give up! This is all worth it!
TTC- YOU ARE NEXT : ) BFP for!! That is my guess!!
Erin- I agree with BLFX07. I was one of those people that thought IVF was weird and unnatural and that if God wanted you to have a baby he would give you one. I didn't want to force the hand of God. I OBVIOUSLY have changed my mind since that narrow minded view and what helped me do that is my friend who is a missionary. She simply asked me one question....she said "does everyone that does IVF get pregnant?" I said NO she said then YOU aren't playing God!! God is still playing God and it's science that God created for us to be able to have children. I also believe that maybe there is a reason we have to go about things this way. Your gut and heart will direct you in the place you should be. Stay strong, positive and don't listen to the naysayers. You only live one life don't live it for someone else live it for yourself sweetie. You deserve to be happy right? Some people don't agree with eating chocolate cake for breakfast,...fine then THEY don't have to and they don't need to know you do. Real followers don't judge others. I hope this helped a little. I feel for you.
BLFIX07- Did you see a heartbeat yet?!! I'm SUPER excited for yoU!!
I did see the heartbeats on Monday. Baby A was at 137 and Baby B at 135 so the docs said all looks great. Baby B measured 1 day behind in size but both looked really good. We will see how things look next Thursday:D
I'm so happy for those of you who have good news and I'm so sorry for those that are going through tough time. Gotta try to keep hope and faith that one day, our journeys will all lead to ultimate goals of being Moms. I went for my blood work today and baseline ultrasound. My day started off a little rough with the nurse having trouble finding my vein and being snippy about it. I drank 2 huge glasses of ice water before I went and she was like, "didnt you have your fluids?" I said yes I did. Needless to say, I have a sore arm. I then went into waiting room to get called for ultasound. My husband was with me...THANK GOD! The girl who went for blood work after me, told the nurse she was pregnant but just coming in for her 2nd test to be sure. Then the next girl, same thing. She was smiling from ear to ear that IVF worked for them. I got tears in my eyes. I don't know these girls and I was bitter for about 15 seconds. I felt like a bad person immediately after. I would never want anyone to go through the pain we all share and yet there I was..sad for myself. MY husband leaned over and said...Its a sign, this is going to work for us this time. I pray he is right. The nurse called me this afternoon that bloodwork and ulrasound are perfect. I have to continue with Lupron and starting Friday add Gonal F and something they call solution X. Go back from blood work Sunday AM. Hoping to have retrieval on Labor Day! Does anyone ever feel like this?
Right now I only have 3 contending follicles. A 13mm and a 9mm on one side and a 13mm on the other. Everything is growing so slowly that they still can't tell me when ER might be. I've already been on stimms several days longer than the normal protocol. I'm thinking I might have to freeze whatever embryos we get and try to increase the batch with another cycle before shelling out for the PGD. : (
Nae - how are you feeling today? I hope you're ok.
ARS - YIKES! You've been through the ringer. I'm glad you're almost ready to start again.
Hoping - Yes I feel that way too. Jealous for an instant and then I remember everyone has their own cross to bear. People's pain is not usually kept on their faces. Our is IF. I'm psyched that you're off to a great start. Good luck!
Ttc-beta tomorrow... Wooohooooo lets get those big nimbers :0)
Erin- hey dear I pray those follies get movin on up and quickly... Let us know how ur progressing. Thank you for the words of comfort.
Hoping- i am Amazed you didnt just scream lol- good luck sunday for bloodwork
Bflix- glad those kiddos are doing great
Ja- how are those 9 embries? Have you done transfer yet?
Mrsryan-big congrats!!!
Laurie- hope your enjoying your time off before this ivf cycle thats destined to give you a BFP. You are an inspiration.
If ive forgotten anyone it wasnt intentional , im just exhausted but needed to let you all know I care very much about your progresses and im with you.
I hope to reply to everyone later, but for the moment i have a question:
yesterday morning i woke up and had a huge amount of acne on my chest. it litterally came overnight. it covers my chest, but really no where else except a few on my shoulder. Anyone else have this happen? I figure acne is a common thing with all the hormones, so i dont feel i need to call my RE, but it just kinda creeps me out how it all popped up over night and is so extensive, and in just one area. Just crious if others have had a similar experience. I wore the highest neckline shirt i could find this morning tha wasn't a turtleneck!!!! ps- teh big day is tomorrow!
TTC-Can't wait to hear your beta results today!!BFP!BFP!
ASP-WOW! It sure sounds like you have had a rough go of it! It's so great to hear how positive you are! Thanks for the inspiration!
Hoping- I've been there also, jealous for a second. I found out our cycle would need to be canceled at RE's office. I had to drop my lab slip off at the front desk and the women in front of my was scheduling her Beta and I found mysekf jealous of her for a second. It's strange because she was only scheduling her beta. LOL. I hope everything goes well starting your other meds today!!
Erin-I'm sorry to hear about the follies growing slowly. I pray they grow, grow, grow so you can get the show on the road.
Nae- Still thinking about you! Hang in there girl!
As for me- I'm going to be starting a new protocol. I'll be doing a Lupron trigger this time. I'll be starting stims 10/19. I'm hoping the 3rd time will be the charm!
Thanks you to all those you messaged me, sent me hugs and posted well wishes on my beta today. Today had been the longest day of my life. You think waiting two weeks would be hard, I had to wait 5 hours after my blood work to find out that I AM PREGNANT!!! My beta was 167 today and I go back Monday for a second beta. I am still in disbelief at this point. I will probably journal tomorrow once I have wrapped my head around this.
To all you ladies on stims or about to start, this journey is totally worth it. I cannot thank God and my RE enough for this wonderful news. There is hope, even for an old gal like me. :)
And a final shout out to Nae, who has been there for me since day one. Your friendship, support and strength are inmeasurable part of my success. xoxoxo
