Starting IVF in July/August?

Hi ladies,
This is my first time on DS. I recently finished my first IVF cycle with PGD. I had four embryos but after the PGD it was determined that only one was healthy, a little girl. The waiting has been torture and yesterday we got a BFN. I've been so discouraged.

I have had 6 miscarriages over the past four years and have one beautiful little son who is 2 and half. It seems most likely that I have many eggs with chromosome abnormalities - we knew that was the case for sure with two of the babies.

I will start my second round of IVF in July. Anyone else?

This journey has been so long, and with so much grief. I don't want to do this alone anymore or hide my miscarriages.

I'm so glad there is a place like this online.

Welcome to DS Erin. It's a great place to share and find support from people who are going throught similar situations.

I'm still in my TWW and will find out if my IVF cycled worked after TTC for 3,5 years. My son is almost 5 and would like us to have an other baby as much as we do.

Keep us updated on when your cycle starts.

This site and all of the ladies on it are amazing. I'm sorry for what you have gone through. I am mid-cycle on IVF #2 right now, so I won't be cycling in July/August but I wanted to wish you luck!!

I already joined the Jun group, but technically I am starting IVF and looking at an early July ER and transfer. I'm happy to be here and offer support. This is my second time around. I have a 10 month old daughter. I was told to move forward now or never due to my low AMH.

Hi Erin

Welcome to DS! In the last year I've had 2 miscarriages and 1 ectopic...haven't been blessed with any living children as of yet. I'm currently planning to start BCP next week and will probably have my transfer the beginning of July. Looking forward to cycling with you!

Thanks for welcoming me, ladies. It turns out I will be cycling sooner than expected - June/July. I am amazed at the number of women going through this. I had no idea infertility was so common until I started having problems myself. Why don't people talk about it?

RoxyD and bc0rny - I am praying that you get wonderful outcomes with your current cycles! I know waiting is not easy!

gcinOhio and LaurieNYC - may we all get good news in July : ) Can you direct me to the Jun/Jul group? I'm still trying to figure out the site and all the abbreviations. Thanks!

Welcome Erin!! I just had a April/May cycle which we just found out failed. We will be starting a June/July cycle. Which will be our second cycle. We had two enbryos from our first cycle none to freeze.

Welcome to DS Erin! I will also be starting an IVF cycle in July. DH and I went to the doctor on May 21, and we are hoping to have our ER on July 19th. This will be our first cycle. I am hoping that it works! Good luck to you!

How are you guys doing? Anyone want to just use this thread now that its June and we're all here?

I am due to start AF next week and then it begins. I've been through this before, but I'm still nervous! I am looking at an ER on the 4th of July, of all days...lol!

I have low AMH (I'm 32, so it should be fine...) and my DH has CAVD. I'm praying we get at least 2 healthy eggs and they don't cancel my cycle. We had our first and successful IVF in October 2010. I only had 4 eggs then, so here's praying for miracle #2.

I'm happy using just using this thread. I'm currently on BCP, with my last pill being June 29th. I will have my retrieval between July 13th-17th and most likely a three day transfer after. I'm hoping to get my BFP by July 27th!

To increase my chances, I'm also having a uterine biopsy on June 29th and an Intralip infusion prior to my retrieval...I'm going full throttle this IVF!

Kelly - You and I are very close in dates :-)

Roxy & GCinOhio - Hopefully you're prior BFP vibes will rub off on us.

Katie - Do you know your dates?

I end BCP on July 1st and our ER is set for 7/18. I'm so jealous of all of you that get to do your transfers right away! We have to wait 2-3 months :-(. I'm sad about that part! But hopefully we will be reading a BFP no later than October or November! GL ladies!!!

Hey ladies!! I'm joining in on the fun!:) this will be my first IVF and imrealky excited, and nervous about screwing something up with the medication! I'm on the bcp until June 23rd, and was told the retrieval would probably be the week of July 9th. How do some of you have an exact date already? My RE said he can't predict it yet, it depends on how I respond to things. Kellyc626, why do you have to wait to do the transfer? That would be so hard!! Best of luck to everyone!!

I have to wait because apparently that is how the doctor's office works. The way I am trying to look at it is...the TWW will be NOTHING compared to the TMW (two month wait)! :-) The doctor that I go to has people come in from all over the world and apprently those patients get to do things all within a month...but because I live an hour or so away, I get to wait...that may not be the actual reason, but that is how I feel!

JA0811 - I'm guessing based only previous cycle. My ER was exactly two weeks from the day my AF arrived, and my transfer was three days later. Based on that I'm looking at AF arriving on June 20th, ER on July 4th and transfer July 7th...but that could all change. It really depends on how your body responds, and your protocol. I'm on a micro flare protocol, which is no BCP, lots of stims and prayers.

I've been spotting all weekend so I expect AF to arrive early, which would be nice. I'm ready to get this show on the road...

HI Ladies, I am new to all this. I plan on starting IVF in a few weeks. Just paid for all my medication today - that was painful (we are paying mostly all out of pocket). We go to the dr on Wed to discuss our calendar and have an injection class. This is our first try at IVF, we have been ttc for almost 3 years. Found husband had no sperm, he had MESA surgery last month and we were fortunate to get sperm. One hurdle out of the way. I am anxious to get my piece going, seems like forever away but I know it will be here sooner than later. I expect a late July transfer. I am doing it without BCP due to me having Factor IV and cannot do BCP. I look forward to getting to know all of you while we go through this journey together.
