Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Hugs and prayers to my fellow sufferers,
Cherry
I have some good news this morning. The mean ugly beast is GONE! My face is all red and puffy and I can feel it lurking back there should I do something stupid like msg (NOT!) and I feel exhausted like I've taken on a big fight. My boss is so sweet and told me to take it slow. And I will.
Thanks again for being there for you. Your support has meant a lot to me during this time. It really does. ((((hugs to you all))))))
And the hospital's IV mix those two days did help, I beleive. I don't think I could have rode that one out on my own. It was just too harsh and raw this time.
Cherry I do hope your day gets better and you can find some time to rest.
Cw- You are in my thoughts and I hope you have a better day :)
I am running some errands today, it's the first day, I have driven since procedure.
((HUGS)) to all ! I am praying everyone has a less pain day!!
Blessings Rhonda
Check-in: my pain level is still too high as I try to cope with daily activities. I own and manage a lot of rental properties which can be a very stressful occupation. I treat tenants as clients and generally have a great relationship with them.
The financial markets are starting to scare me and I don't think people realize how harsh a recession is on tenants and people in general on the low end of the economic ladder.
I found out this summer that my pain level is often tied to my stress level (duh).
I can't remember the names of everybody in our little group here who was hurting, so I will just say hugs to alland may our pain be lower.

Just got home a little bit ago. Helping my wife with her antique show. Staying within my lifting restrictions has hindered me to the point where it gets kind of aggravating, but, it is what it is.
Still waiting for the axe to drop at work. Just taking it each day at at time.
I feel for all of y'all that are struggling. Rocco is here chewing on my keyboard.....trying to help me.
It's been rainy here for the last two day. Yesterday heavy, today just showers. Anyway the barometer is down, you know the rest (lol).
Thanks for being here for me. This group is very special.
Big Hugs,
David.
Hank i am glad you are here and i admire you working through you pain.
i know this economy makes it hard for your renters and hard for you. yes stress does cause pain. just glad to hear you one here and hope you stay.
david you make me smile :)
I'm convinced my most recent script is a placebo...dirty trick.
I hope everyone is starting their day with a reasonable level of comfort. I know better than to say 'pain free'!
Hugs, (one armed)

Tough night. Thank you for listening, I never complain to anyone except on here. We know what it's like.

The baby is sleeping ( Rocco ) so I have a chance to stop by. Raining again in NC. They say we need it, but those are the ones who don't feel it (lol).
It's just me and Rocco today. My wife has a 2 day antique show and unfortunately it's raining there too. Hopefully there will be some breaks.
I want to thank all of y'all new and return visitors to this topic. I think it's a great way to start your day.
Everyone is welcome to check-in. Maybe today could be the day to let us know you're out there.
Big Hugs,
David.
i could really use a hug but not sure if that's possible. ok pain has affected my self-esteem but in this case either i'm either unhuggable or just a techno dope? how do i activate my hug, friend and other icons? can anyone advise. i've read the help section, my settings aren't private. mmmm?
thanks.
If you want to hug someone or send a friend request, just click on their name and it will gring you to their profile. Look on the right side near the top and you can give a hug, message, friend request............
Hope this helps.
Hugs,
David
I live in the Philadelphia area and we have had tons of rain this year.
I saw the PM doc last Tuesday and he said he is out of ideas. He suggested I try PT again and also see an orthopedic guy since I haven't seen one in 20 years. He said he doesn't recommend the pain pump because I am thin and the pump would protrude, but he said I could try it at any time.
I made a vegetarian soup tonight for the family consisting of 2 cups of beans, split peas, lentils and then just a bunch of vegetables and spices.
I have a few rental properties coming up with vacancies to fill. The tendency seems to be people living together rather than getting married.
I would really appreciate it in our small David group here if people could sign their posts with their name. The online names seem impersonal to me.
