Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
@Cathy, so glad to hear the good report.
@Cherry, Hang in there. A new doctor usually doesn't thrust right into a full med plan. My doctor is trying to back me off the opiates, so I feel your pain (no pun intended)
I am doing about the same. Rocco is doing great with his outside training.
We have another funeral this morning. A church member that was very special to me. It seems like they're dropping like flies. We had one just this past Sunday.
Thanks for making this a great place to be.
Hugs,
David.
David, I am so sorry that, you are having so many people that you care about pass away, My prayers are with you.
Cherry, I hope you get the relief you need soon!
Cathy, I am glad everything is looking good.
Today, I am on my own, husband is at a christian retreat for men. I do hope he has a great time. I am going to go grocery shopping today and thats about it, I have been cooking a roast for 2 days, going to make pulled BBQ with it for dinner tonight!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Blessings to All Rhonda
you baked a cake for your tenant! Oh do I wish you were my landlady. I try to stay locked in my apartment so I don't have risk seeing my landlady and being yelled at or talked mean to about something she thinks I did. That is the one reason I am glad I am moving because then I won't have to be stressed by her daughter upstairs who I am avoiding and by her mother who always stands up for her baby who is 31 years old and screams and torment the living hell out me. I love my apartment but it has really been like walking on egg shells since I came her. I got a cake this year but my sister bought it!! The thought was extremely nice but it was not good. I was glad my niece and nephew polished off most of it! My sister used to bake everything or at least make a box cake. I made myself a red velvet with creme cheese frosting. That's what I wanted! Cathy so glad that everything is stable with your tumor. cherry you may have switched doctors but what an idiot couldn't they have least allowed you to wean of the fetaynol patch. God it was terrible getting it taken away from me. My doctor just decided I didn't need anymore and the withdrawl was the worst thing I have I have ever felt. I had every symtom of withdrawl except a seizures. God it was terrible. She didn't put on the lowest patch or anything, like you it basically was stripped from my arm and told deal with it. I don't really think it matters if your going to a new doctor, they should read your file. I never wish to be in the hospital, I hate going there but withdrawling for fetanynol I really wanted to go. What are doctors thinking of not giving the meds you were on and then if they think they are too much withdrawling your from it slowly instead of taking it completely way from you. I don't think her being a new NP is any excuse. Sorry guys that makes feel crazy mad. I don't want anyone to suffer what I did. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope your withdrawl is not as bad as my was. I haven't been feel well lately either. Weather will not stay the same, hot then rainy back hot. Why do I live in Rochester, it has the worst weather mood swings! lol Well it does. I wouldn't be suprised if it snowed tomorrow, that how it is here. I have lived her my whole life and I still wonder why I haven't moved. Well hugs to everyone and hope we are all feeling better tomorrow. if you are having a great day may it keep on going for you.
I'm sure that anyone who was over the age of five, will never forget exactly where they were when the news came that our Country was under attack.
God Bless,
Cherry

We had a special service at church today to honor our local first responders and remembrance of the terrible act of terrorism 10 years ago. It was tough at times.
Just getting home now, getting settled in. Rocco is good. I plan on just chillin' for the rest of the day.
I am grateful for you all!!!
Hugs,
David.
David...so since you are better then you pain was nerve pain? And the scs is helping that? I so hope so. Hoping you can get off of opiods. I hate those dang things! My best to you. Hi to Rocco for me.
I'm battling muscle pain. Spend alot of time with knees to chest and trying to rest my painful muscles on something hard to release the spasms. That's about it.
Wishing peace to all.
Am I hopeful or fearful???!!!! I found a link to my migraines, maybe, but the answer could or could not be an answer. Hypothyroid makes pain feel worse. When a person has Graves (Hyper), they go from Hyper to Hypo. Right now I'm Hyper because the Doc dropped my meds and I have less pain. But I can't remain Hyper because it is bad for my health. BUT I have a link to why so many migraines. BUT!!! I have to make hard decisions that could render me hypo for life if I'm not careful or lucky.
If I understand this, if I stay Hyper I have a short life span, but a lot less migraines. Think about this. Eat all you want, lose weight easily, have boundless energy, less pain, but shorter life. Intermittent moments of utter exhaustion and then you go again. Hmmmm.
I am doing OK this morning. Today is the first day of school for Rocco........if everything works out. This is the third try. I'll come back later and fill y'all in.
@Anne, My SCS is working on my nerve pain, but the spasms and mechanical pain are still here. I have DDD in the cervical section of my spine. I use muscle relaxers and an anti-inflammatory to try and battle that. My pain is averaging 4-5, and it used to be up to 8.
It's great to see you all here.
@Enigma, I am counting down with you and I wish you nothing but the best.
Let's keep this thing going. Any new folks want to stop in?
Hugs,
David.
Whew my niece started all day kindergarden today so I have the whole day to myself besides taking and picking up my own son for school.
I have some cleaning to do and hope I can knock out most of it this morning, but I hope that every day LOL.
We are getting stuff together for my niece's birthday party she is going to be five and we are doing a theme birthday of the smurfs what fun is that I think I am more excited then she is. I got to make some smurfs hats for the kids out of felt and I am in charge of doing the cake and the desserts and I can barely wait to make them.
Going to the apple orchard this weekend, hope to get enough apples to make some pies anyone know if you can freeze them and how they keep? any suggestions would be great.
For the pie suggestions as I did not even think to freeze them before cooking and I will have to try both ways and see what one taste better. I think the tin and wrap is a good way to store them as I was thinking how the heck how a I going to store them as I dont have any tupperware that would fit around them and then fit in the freezer as it is a side by side fridge. First side by side not impressed but that is another story.
Yes I love baking probably more then cooking, not that I am great at it but I do try.
I've always loved baking. I don't do as much now that my boys are all grown, but it's a sure fire way to get them to visit!
