Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
THis is OFF TOPIC - SORRY!!!!!!
At church they pass the plate with the bread. I can't even touch the bread because of Celiac. Now no one will sit near me. THey look at the row and whisper and move.
I feel like a pirah (sp). I honestly don't get it. Church should be where people understand. CHurches should not be marganilizing me because this disease caused all my pain and nearly killed me.
I just do not get it.
I am too tired to carry on.
They think if I had enough faith then it would not matter. WHAT?
Just like pain, all I need is faith. YEP! Just BELIVE and you will be HEALED! RIGHT!
I have tried church after church. It starts out OK. They tell stories aobut others in the church with the same problem and everybody is reall nice for a couple months. Then just when I get comfortable and think, "finally, I found a place where I can belong", surprise it happens again - someone is offended because I refuse to eat the bread or take the plate or "take just a tiny piece".
They all seem to think it is OK to act like I am some ...................... pirah is the only word that describes properly how I feel. They act like I am some sort of evil for not wanting to touch the plate.
Can I say WOW! I did not expect to find someone who cared so much that they would look it up!
You are amazing person.
Thank you seems so little. But it is all I have right now.
Thank you!!!!!!!!
I think we as human being are open to make mistakes, whether a church is involved or not.
I happen to be very involved with the church I attend, and I will be the first to tell you that it is far from perfect. Only because there are people in it.
Some church people have been sited as being hypocritical, but if we truly examine ourselves we all fall short in one way or another. I do not write this in defense of anyone, but I feel compelled to say I'm sorry for what happened, but I will not cast any stones.
God knows our hearts, and if we believe then we have choices.
I ask that we steer this thread back in the direction it should be going in.
That being said.....Big Hugs to Bunny, and I hope you can figure out what to do.
Hugs to all,
David.

Denise
Had an eye appointment today. Due to my MS I have double vision and it tends to vary and it seems that it is time for new lens. After my appointment my nervepain went into over drive and I couldn't get home fast enough to suit me. But after taking some meds and relaxing I feeing better. My evening was highlighted by a call from my son and his family. So that made my night! Wishing all of you a restful night.
Hugs, Cathy
I feel a little better this morning. My upper body was all tightened up yesterday. The SCS is still working fine. Rocco is chewing on my keyboard, and I think we'll have a good day. He's doing his business outside now, still not telling me when he has to go, but I bring him out frequently, the same way, saying the same thing. I think he's catching on.
For those hurting, you know that we're here for you. For those who need to post something, do it. We would love to have some more new people.
I hope you all have a great day.
Hugs,
David.
Today was my first day I got Mariah off to school thank goodness she did not cry or I am sure I would of. I have to go and pick her up all week as she has a half day all week and then her mom will pick her up next week after she gets home from work.
I think I will do some cleaning and some bills and that crap, fun fun
Sunny- I am so sorry you are treated that way, in my neck of the woods we offer gluten free along with the traditional bread, if you ever find another church and this is a option for you, please speak up. I bet there would be others in the church that would be able to do gluten free also.
My husband and I just left our old church because of new pastor and his views. we were extemly active, on council and boards. praise team, food pantry. it was a very hard decision we made and it tooks us over a year with prayer to make.
I do know all churchs have issues, but sunny yours is a easy fix! I will pray for you!
(((Hugs))) and Blessings to All Rhonda
Somewhere in those days I gave up hoping. I think it was when I signed up for and was being tested for an experimental proceedure where they find a hole in my heart to stop my head pain and were pushing bubbles into my heart. I cried for weeks because my heart was okay and I was dismissed from this dangerous experimental proceedure that offered sketchy results anyways.
I look back at how stupid I was to do that and know I would do it again for the desperation that I feel.
In prespective, its all the same.
Hugs to you all, buddies for letting me talk about this.
Sunny, talk abt. folks treating you as an outcast. I really relate!! So many people think Hep C is highly contagious, that only drug addicts get it, that its always fatal. All wrong!!!
I had one of my follow-up blood draws for the Trial this morning, 12 vials of blood. They were weekly but now not as often. 44 more weeks of follow-up. My red blood cells were affected by the Trial so I stay very tired but that should slowly change for the better. So after we got home today, just taking it easy. I do need to try to cook dinner though. LOL
from my face to the soles of my feet.my sleep is an agonized state of
forced unconciousness and my waking life is a parody of what i once was......yet i crawlon.both figuratively and literally..i sometimes wonder why..but i know...my will to even stay is anchored firmly and , sometimes i think, only with my two boys...there are other reasons i'm sure.but right
now............it's too much effort to think of them......without the boys
i feel like i would rather just slip my tether here and drift away.
i know this whine for what it is.......i've just been in an awful flare for
quite awhile .and i've reached the point.....you know the one, where the constant excrutiating pain and the too many nights with no good sleep....things start to get weird........either weird.or my actual
reality..............in any case.this is some whiney crap i had to say
and this is always the place where a guy can say it.
thanks ...............PEACE
