You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

I did Phoebe :) I dyed it today (dark red/violet - but it came out auburn as I anticipated). Was starting to have a lot of white hairs showing, yuck. It was nice applying the hair dye and being able to sit and watch tv in my family room. Normally, while pulling, I'd be confined to the bathroom while waiting for the dye to work, as my hair was not suitable to be seen by others when wet. Now my hair is shiny, all one colour, and because I gave it a decent trim a few days ago, two of my layers are almost the same length! My hair seems thicker, it's looking good :) Oh and I posted some pics of my hair on trich world a few days ago, I'll have to pop them on my profile here. Ack it's almost 2am, didn't finish work til 12am. Bed soonish, enjoying watching friends on tv.

176 days pf, woop woop!!! Alright, I'm going to start keeping a diary of my urges, emotions, foods eaten, exercise taken etc. I really need to. I'll start today.

GUESS WHAT? It's Saturday and I have the night off!! omfg. So excited. It's because of some kind of roster glitch, hooray! I'm going to hang out with my friend and drink wine. Sounds perfick.

176 days?!!!! Hurray! Love the hair! Yes, once I added the journaling and clipboard information together, I saw two areas that I can change, so you're on the right path to keep strong, hands down!

Mrs. Kolo, he is doing much better, he is passing everything, and she has started talking to him again! She says he's doing better. Pft stupid lady.

Thanks I did have a fun night off :) Was very nice, and I'm not even hungover today, score!

By the way, about the pics of me and my hair which have purple circles over them. I have not done this because I don't want you guys to see my face, I was just looking really really REALLY awful and special in these photos! Ha. I'll put some pics of me on here another time.
