Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

And Clare, every time I re-grow my lashes (which is a lot, as they tend to cycle), I buy myself a nice new mascara or eyelash curler or something like that. I don't spend a lot of money, but it's always a nice little reward.
And as for a haircut, have you thought of cutting it shorter overall, like a bob? It might be easier to get a good haircut that way, since all your hair would be closer to the same length, but I understand if you don't want to part with all your pretty length.
Eeeeeeeeeee, I'm excited for you!

I have ringlets at the base of my neck. Then its wavy, and by the time you get to the top of my head, it is almost straight. Schizo hair.
